**Warning: Contains spoilers for Seasons 1-3 of Kaguya-sama: Love is War.**
The final episode of Love is War's Season 3 aired on June 24th, exciting all sorts of anime fans with its ultimate romantic conclusion. Fans of the anime also rejoiced as they saw it rank number 1 on MyAnimeList, a huge milestone for the series.
Love is War has no doubt been growing more and more popular, providing fans with dramatic romance and nonstop comedy. Love is War isn't short of humorous characters, whether it's one of the main characters or a side character. There are many contenders, but these are the funniest characters in Love is War, ranked.
Nagisa Kashiwagi and Tsubasa Tanuma
Nagisa and Tsubasa are recurring characters who often seek the Student Council for love advice. It's this advice that initially led these two to being a couple.
Funnily enough, it's characters like Shirogane and Kaguya who provide most of the advice, but really don't know much due to their lack of experience. Fans will see a great reversal in Season 4 now that Kaguya and Miyuki are in a relationship. Already fans can see where this is going, as Kaguya based how she would kiss Miyuki on how she had seen Nagisa and Tsubasa kiss (the grown-up kiss).
Maki Shijo
Maki Shijo is introduced to fans as a rival of Kaguya's (though not in love) and a relative. She is incredibly similar to Kaguya, though this only makes them butt heads more. Fans should look forward to when her brother is introduced and how his relationship proceeds with Miyuki.
Maki provides fans with plenty of comedy, from her denial of love toward Tsubame to the shared scenes with Kaguya in the haunted tour. Interestingly enough, she too seeks advice from the Student Council, namely Miyuki and Ishigami. The three of them quickly become friends, which of course infuriates Kaguya.
Saburo Odajima
One of the four ramen kings, Saburo Odajima. His initial appearance is silently and dramatically critiquing Fujiwara on how she goes about eating her ramen. He is mesmerized by her performance and holds her in high regard.
While ramen is his primary critique, he does agree to critique Kaguya's tea in Season 3. It's there that he is able to deduce that Kaguya's refined tea has been crafted so for the one she loved.
Miko Iino
Iino is the newest character of the student council from Season 2. While a character who strictly follows the rules may not initially seem funny, there are so many odd mannerisms about Iino that can make her a hilarious character.
Her misunderstandings of Miyuki and always finding him to be a pervert or the healing music in Season 3 with sexual connotations are especially entertaining. Iino always manages to keep the humor in the series fresh and different.
Chika Fujiwara
Chika Fujiwara can either be one of the funniest characters or the most annoying, and it's clear many of the characters in Love is War feel the same.
While Fujiwara has many great comedic moments like her ramen scenes or cheating in games, there isn't anything better than her tutelage of Miyuki. Despite her pure hatred of Miyuki's lack of talent in whatever it may be--rapping, volleyball, blowing balloons, etc., She always takes pride in training Miyuki and seeing him develop and master his weaknesses.
Ai Hayasaka
Hayasaka is one of the best-developed characters in this long-running anime series, and fans will see much more of that in future seasons.
Hayasaka is always living in the shadow of her lady, Kaguya. But even so, she still shines as a unique and humorous character. Often Kaguya's plans backfire as she sends Hayasaka in to spy on Shirogane, as she always takes it too far and tries to genuinely make Shirogane fall in love with her. Though she fails every time, this does create a unique bond and friendship between these two characters, one that helped lead to the rapping scene.
Yu Ishigami
Ishigami is a character many fans fell in love with in Season 1, and he hasn't disappointed fans yet as the heartwarming anime series continues.
Ishigami's obliviousness in Season 3 was priceless, as he accidentally confesses to Tsubame. This was his original intention all along, but with him not understanding the meaning of giving a heart during the festival and his responses to Tsubame when she is discussing, it is all too funny. When he finally realizes what he had done, he breaks down in embarrassment.
Miyuki Shirogane
The secondary main character of Love is War, one of the best high school anime currently on Netflix, and the hardworking boyfriend of Kaguya.
Miyuki Shirogane constantly gives fans plenty to laugh at. His weaknesses are one of the best aspects of his character, and it's impressive that he works tirelessly until he becomes good or even decent at that weakness. Many fans couldn't stop laughing in Season 3 when he mastered his rapping skills in the borderline cringe yet hilarious verses.
Kaguya Shinomiya
The main protagonist of the series, Kaguya Shinomiya, one of the best tsundere characters in romance anime, is without a doubt one of the funniest characters in the story.
One of the best aspects of Kaguya is her lack of experience and naivety. Due to her sheltered life, she lacks many normal experiences, like owning a cell phone. When she finally gets one, she doesn't understand the concept of "left on read." Her misunderstandings of any situation involving Shirogane are also great, and it's hilarious how she is quick to find any female a rival. Though for once, with Chika's younger sister, she enjoyed talking with someone who actually liked Shirogane too.
Papa Shirogane
No one in Love is War is funnier than Papa Shirogane, Miyuki's father. Fans who love this character are only going to grow to love him more in the future. Every appearance he makes is filled with comedy with his creepy vibes and intrusive and insinuating comments.
Much like Miyuki's sister, Papa Shirogane long knew Kaguya would date Miyuki and even stands in as her father for the meeting with the principal. At times, he can be hard to take seriously, but he does often give good fatherly advice to Miyuki and shares a good bond with his son.
