Netflix releases a full episode of Love, Death & Robots prior to the premiere of season 3. The anthology series first landed on the streaming service in 2019 and was an immediate hit with audiences and critics alike. Love, Death & Robots is a collection of short animated films from separate studios, with each episode featuring a self-contained story within the science-fiction, horror, or fantasy genres. Season 3 will consist of nine new, varying stories with a diverse set of animation styles.

Prior to the Love, Death & Robots season 3 release, Netflix shares a full episode from the new season, titled "3 Robots: Exit Strategies." This episode is a sequel to season 1 episode 2, "Three Robots," in which robots K-VRC, XBOT 4000, and 11-45-G investigate a post-apocalyptic city and sift through the remains of the human civilization that once lived there. The new episode features a similar premise, as the same robots search through the last remaining human strongholds before they all perished. Check out the complete episode below:

Love, Death & Robots was originally created by Hollywood directors Tim Miller and David Fincher, after initially attempting to remake the 1981 animated film Heavy Metal. The majority of season 1 and 2's stories were written by writer Philip Gelatt, who co-wrote the story for the popular video game Rise of the Tomb Raider. With exciting new stories to tell featuring uniquely vibrant animation styles, audiences no longer have to wait until Netflix's Love, Death & Robots season 3 premieres on May 20 for their first look at the next installment.
