Love After Lockup alums Maurice and Jessica Gipson's social media activity has proven that they've broken up. The formerly married couple took jabs at each other online after their split, while Maurice was enjoying life with his new girlfriend, Mandy. It was hard to watch Maurice and his new girlfriend, as Jessica was raising their son, Ma'Liq Wayne Gipson, all by herself. According to Maurice, however, Jessica is a bitter ex-wife who prevented him from seeing his child.
Many viewers were rooting for Maurice and Jessica during Love After Lockup season 3. Maurice, an LA native, was hoping to change his life for the better. In turn, Jessica was looking forward to building a future with Maurice, and starting a family. The only issue was the reluctance that Jessica's family expressed over her relationship. Alas, after enough begging, Maurice was able to win Jessica's father over, and even got his wife pregnant. Unfortunately, after welcoming their son in 2020, the pair hit turbulence, and ultimately parted ways. This sparked a nasty battle on social media.

What Happened Between Love After Lockup's Maurice & Jessica?
Maurice came under fire after a woman by the name of Mandy confirmed her romance with him. In a screenshot captured by Jessica was sharing photos with their son, and Maurice was absent. To make matters worse, he appeared to be playing a stepfather role to his new girlfriend's daughter, while his ex-wife Jessica raised their son by herself.
Love After Lockup's Maurice's Girlfriend Mandy Stirred The Pot With Jessica
In a series of Instagram Story posts, Maurice and Mandy hinted at tying the knot, while Jessica insinuated that Maurice might get arrested if he married two people. After being asked why he left Jessica as a single mom, Maurice claimed that she'd been preventing him from seeing his son because of her bitterness over him moving on. It has been reported that Maurice's arrest in early 2021 restricted him from leaving California. As a result, the Love After Lockup star Jessica has been in Las Vegas raising their baby boy, while Maurice has found a new love interest. Most recently, a fan, Ok-Vacation1941, captured a screenshot of an alleged text message conversation that Jessica shared online.
The alleged texts indicated that Maurice wanted Jessica to be more understanding, and claimed that Mandy was jealous of Jessica over money. Maurice posted videos on his Instagram, where he defended Mandy and their relationship. He was arrested multiple times in 2022, and is currently awaiting trial on several serious charges. Jessica from Love After Lockup may be better off raising their son alone.
