To obtain the Tales of Midgard achievement in Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, players must find and interact with all 18 Lorestangir and hear the story of Grettir. These special storytelling collectibles are hidden across the first five chapters of Hellblade 2, and Senua may need to journey off the beaten path to find them out in the wilderness of Viking Iceland.

Each chapter of Hellblade 2, with the exception of Chapter Six, has a few Lorestangir. For them to count towards Senua's collection and the achievement, players need to zoom in and look at each totem until a red rune appears and some dialogue is triggered. It's worth noting that Hellblade 2 does feature Chapter Select, so none of the Lorestangir are missable.

All Lorestangir Locations In Chapter I Of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

1 Lorestangir Available

Only one Lorestangir can be found in the first chapter, and it's easily spotted. Once Senua completes her arduous climb up the cliffs and stumbles through some impressive-looking sea spray, follow the main path along until the Lorestangir appears on the cliffside.

Other Lorestangir are more hidden, but the first one serves as a tutorial for what to do next. To interact with the Lorestangir, hold down the E key or controller triggers to zoom in on the runic glyphs. The glyph should glow red and a voice should start speaking, confirming that it has been claimed.

Players can track how many Lorestangir they have obtained by inspecting the runes on each totem. Each glyph on the totem represents one of the Lorestangir; if it glows, players can track it as claimed.

All Lorestangir Locations In Chapter II Of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

4 Lorestangir Available

Chapter II opens with Senua following along after the captured slaver she defeated. There are a total of four Lorestangir to be found in Chapter II.

As soon as Senua starts walking alongside the slaver, she will come across a small hut with a thatched roof, and a small entrance gate marked by two posts. Head through the gate and round the left side of the hut to find the Lorestangir in a small area at the back.

After recovering her mirror and fighting off the monsters in the burning village, Senua will return back to the deserted village. From here, follow the path forward until she es through a barn with a hanged man. After leaving the barn, head left to enter a small open area. Senua can duck under some debris on the left to find a Lorestangir.

Lorestangir #4

After heading up the mountain and having a first terrifying encounter with the draugar, Senua will enter a dark section of the mountain path with tree branches that move. Eventually, the main path will lead her along a narrow cliffside. Immediately after this, there will be an open area on the left with a ladder Senua can climb. Climb the ladder and head right, following the torches to find a Lorestangir.

Despite Hellblade 2's upgraded lighting and graphical improvements, the ladder can be difficult to spot.

After fighting the draugar and rescuing the captive from the totem, Senua will follow him down the mountainside. After reaching a broken bridge, the man will lead Senua to the right towards a fork. The man will head right, but Senua should head left instead. Down this path, another Lorestangir can be found.

6 Lorestangir Totems Available

Chapter III begins once Senua starts to travel with the captive she rescued and the slaver she tied up earlier. There are a total of six Lorestangir to be found in Chapter III.

Once Senua and her companions walk down the hill into the village, turn left to find the ruins of an old wooden house. By following a short path to the left, Senua can find another Lorestangir.

Lorestangir #7

After escaping the forest, Senua returns to a hilltop village. Instead of heading down the hill, head round the hilltop towards the summit. A Lorestangir can be found near the top, in between some of the huts.

Lorestangir #8

After heading down the hill away from the village, Senua will come across the first of the game's ball puzzles. Once solved, follow the open path forward. A Lorestangir can be found in a small area off to the left. Players can initially see it near a ledge that can't be mounted; instead, walk a little further along to find another path into the area.

Lorestangir #9

After solving the second ball puzzle, continue along the main path until Senua drops down two ledges. From here, walk past the two pools of water and then head left to find a gap Senua can squeeze through. A Lorestangir can be found in the area just beyond.

Lorestangir #10

From the last Lorestangir, drop down back into the area with the water pools and continue a short distance along the main path. On the right, Senua can crawl through a small cave entrance to find another Lorestangir.

After Senua enters the mirror cave for the third ball puzzle, a Lorestangir can be seen on the far wall. To reach it, Senua must manipulate the environment to create a path on the left to reach one of the spheres needed for the puzzle.

3 Lorestangir Available

Chapter IV begins once Senua enters the underground caves hidden beneath the lake. It's worth noting that Chapter IV is fairly long and the Lorestangir aren't always easy to find.

After Senua enters the caves, head deeper underground and follow the path. After climbing down three ledges, a Lorestangir should be visible off to the right. To reach it, Senua should drop down the next ledge into a pool of water and then head right. A small ledge will allow her to climb up into the area where the Lorestangir is located.

After dropping down into a half-flooded area, Senua will need to light some magic fire to make a path forward through the caves. Head forward until an area opens up on the right. To reach the Lorestangir, Senua can climb down a small ledge.

Lorestangir #14

After Senua escapes from the monsters later in the chapter, she will enter a section of the caves with some floating rocks. Continue onward until the path forks; the path on the left is the main story path, but Senua can also head right to find another Lorestangir.

All Lorestangir Locations In Chapter V Of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

4 Lorestangir Available

Chapter V begins once Senua reunites with her two companions from earlier. This is the last chapter where Lorestangir can be found.

Continue along the main path until Senua encounters a small waterfall off on the right. From here, head up the hill and follow the path to the right to enter a waterfall cave. Off to Senua's right, a Lorestangir can be found at the end of a stream.

After the next cutscene, Senua will be accompanied by another woman on her journey. Continue along until they both reach an open field. A Lorestangir can be seen off in the distance to the right. To reach it, head right to find a path that leads to it.

Lorestangir #17

After reaching the beach with the shipwrecks, Senua will need to find three runic glyphs to unseal the path forward. After claiming the trident-shaped glyph, follow the path right and drop down into the next area. Head around the beached shipwreck debris and through the leftmost cloud of turquoise particles to find a cave. A Lorestangir can be found at the end.

Lorestangir #18

Later in the chapter, Senua will arrive in a deserted village. To find the last Lorestangir, continue through the village until the path forks left and right. The right path will be lit by torches; instead, head along the left path to find the Lorestangir.

Once players have found all of the Lorestangir, the storyteller Druth is unlocked as a narrator for a second playthrough once players have reached the end of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Playing with narration from The Others or Druth is essential for unlocking the Seeing Things Differently achievement and also makes subsequent playthroughs a slightly different experience. Players can also listen to the full story of Grettir in the Extras tab on the main menu, as a nice bonus for tracking down these collectibles.
