The Yakuza series is infamous for its sundry minigames, and indulgent vacation in the Like A Dragon franchise, and that means it's full of treasures to explore. There are tons of minigames to find scattered around the game's many islands, but some are more fun than others. The game's tropical locale will surely put you in the mood for some sun-soaked fun, so check out some of the excellent minigames the islands have to offer.
Minigames are a time-honored RPG tradition, and the LAD series uses them liberally throughout all its games. Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii follows ex-Tojo clan member Goro Majima, who wakes up on a beach in Hawaii with no memory of his past life. Embrace the pirate life as you a pirate crew in search of lost treasure, but make sure to take some time to relax along the way. There's a minigame around every corner, and it wouldn't be a LAD game without its signature camp and style.
10 Darts
Simple, But Deadly Accuracy Can Win You The Day
The darts minigame to the east of the Crystal Aloha Resort, northwest of Aloha beach, is pretty simple, but despite its simplicity, it's worth checking out. It's got the expected controls, with a power meter determining the strength of your throw, so it should be easy enough to pick up. At any rate, it's easier than in real life, but you still have to aim your throws to make sure you hit your intended target.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii's Ending Explained (In Detail)
Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii ends with a series of big reveals, thrilling fights, and surprise twists. Here’s what happens in its final chapters.
As you progress through the game, you can also unlock, find, and buy different darts that will give you an advantage in your matches. There are ten in total to unlock, and they each offer steadier aiming, making your matches more winnable. Challenge your crew and win various prizes, including different outfits and other cosmetics.
9 Golf
Play Bingo Or Closest To The Pin To Earn Rewards
Like the darts minigame, the Golf minigame, found in Madlantis, is pretty simple. Set the aim and power of your shot, then let it fly to score points. There are two ways to play golf here; either Closest to the Pin, or Bingo. Closest to the pin is just what it sounds like; aim for the flag sticking out of the hole each round, and earn points determined by how close you are to hitting it. It's scored in a bullseye fashion around the hole, and also includes a combo system where you earn more points the more times in a row you land in each ring of the bullseye.
Aim to hit the pin; the ball will often drop right into the cup if you hit the flag, meaning you don't have to worry about it rolling away.
The second golf mode, Bingo, is a bit more of a challenge if aiming isn't your strong suit. Your target is a three-by-three grid, and you're given 10 shots to hit as many s on the grid as you can. As you succeed, the grid will move further away, and it will also begin to move. While golf isn't everyone's jam, it's a great way to take a break from the high-octane, beat-em-up content the rest of Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii brings.
8 Sicko Snap
You Don't Have Anything Better To Do?
The Like A Dragon games have always been irreverent, and this minigame really takes the cake in that regard. Board up on the tram and get out your trusty camera, people watching and catching pictures of any "sicko" you come across as you ride. These oddballs will be obvious, as they'll be wearing butterfly masks and moving... sensually. Whether you shame them or laud their displays, Sicko Snap is a good reminder that Like A Dragon will always be Like A Dragon.
7 Karaoke
Another Series Classic Makes Its Way To The Islands
Speaking of Like A Dragon being Like A Dragon, one of its most famous minigames has thankfully made the journey over to the islands with Majima. You can find Karaoke at the Revolve Bar on Tsubaki Street or aboard the Goromaru, and no matter where you end up, this singing minigame is sure to tickle new and veteran LAD lovers alike. Pay $5 per song to serenade empty clubs with your heartfelt music, gaining no other reward than your own satisfaction and enjoyment.
6 Crazy Delivery
The Hit Minigame Returns In Style
Crazy Taxi for the Sega Dreamcast was a staple of my childhood, so seeing it transferred so faithfully to another one of my favorite series is a dream come true. Crazy Delivery is a fast-paced way to quickly earn some extra cash while also doing sick tricks and stunts across the streets of Honolulu. You'll unlock the game in Chapter 2, and the goal is to collect and deliver your clients' food, looking totally rad while doing it.

5 Goro Kingdom
Play Rescuer For Various Animals Across The Map
In Goro Kingdom, you'll be tasked with feeding animals around Rich Island, increasing your friendship with them and eventually recruiting them to your crew. You can feed them snacks every five minutes, real-time, and they each have a friendship meter that will increase as you feed them. After they're fed, each animal will give you a cooking ingredient that you can use to make recipes later on.
You can find Pet Food for $10 at Stella's Shop. You can buy High-End Pet Food there as well, for $150. The third level of pet food, Ultimate Pet Food, can only be found as you explore the world.
After finishing the "Kitten In District Five" story, you'll unlock the ability to recruit your fuzzy friends to your crew. You'll need to find and recruit each one individually, but this shouldn't be too tricky. Most of them can be recruited through simple dialogue choices, while the others will take a bit more handling. Bring them their favorite snack or save them from danger to rally them to your cause.
4 Dragon Kart
Step Aside Mario, It's Majima's Turn
Dragon Kart is as simple, and complex, as it sounds. It can be found south of Hip Hop Shrimp in Honolulu, and offers yet another high-octane minigame for Majima to play. You start with a limited selection of karts to choose from, which can be upgraded with money as you race and unlock more options.
As you race, you can collect rings, which can also be earned for doing well in races and spent later.
The aim of the game is to win the races, and you can earn more rewards for winning all the Grand Prix and challenges from rivals. Like the Mario Kart games to which this minigame pays homage, you'll use various items and boosts to blast your opponents and speed your way to the finish line to earn rings. Spend your rings on various rewards, including, but not limited to, two Project SEKAI Hatsune Miku CDs. As a Miku fan myself, this was motivation enough to brush up on my driving skills and get to the tracks.
3 Bang Bang Batting
Simple On The Surface, But An Addicting Time-Sink
Bang Bang Batting is found in Chapter 2, and while the game seems simple enough, it's just as complex as some of the other minigames Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has to offer. It has two game modes, Big Bang Bang and Endless Bang Bang, and they each have their own goals. Big Bang Bang features different stages, with your score depending on how efficiently you clear each stage, while Endless Bang Bang gives you a limited number of cannonballs with the goal of getting the highest score possible. It's a simple enough game, but the rhythm of it makes it really satisfying, so check it out.
2 Goro Goro Kitchen
Cooking Mama (Cooking Majima?) Is Back
Unlocked pretty early on, Goro Goro Kitchen is a classic RPG cooking minigame. Pick a recipe, choose your ingredients, and get ready to prepare the ultimate dish. Each dish offers one of a few effects, and can be cooked as long as you have the necessary ingredients and the recipe unlocked. There are five ingredient types in the game: Meat, Bugs, Fish, Produce, and Eggs/Milk.
Once you've selected your recipe, you'll be tasked with completing two or three Cooking Mama-like minigames. The outcome of the minigames will determine how your dish turns out, so make sure to pay attention and finish the minigames properly. For me, this small dip into a childhood favorite of mine puts Goro Goro Kitchen high up on my list of favorite minigames, even though I tend to forget to eat the dishes once I've actually cooked them.
