The legendary Let Me Solo Her’s build in Elden Ring was iconic due to how simplistic it was.
Their character only wears a pot helmet, and the Rivers of Blood Katana and Cold Uchigatana weapons. The lack of extra armor when facing Malena, one of the game’s toughest bosses, is a daunting prospect, yet Let Me Solo Her would time and time again help other players looking for coop assistance to get past the memorable Blade of Miquella. While they are best known for the remarkable aid they’ve provided, Let Me Solo Her does share a deep appreciation for most soulslike games, and recently, they took on the challenge of facing several of the scariest bosses in Bloodborne.
Laurence Is Bloodborne's "Most Annoying Boss," According To Elden Ring's Let Me Solo Her
The Player Had Some Trouble With The DLC’s Optional Boss
Leaving behind the Lands Between, Let Me Solo Her delved into the depths of Yharnam and its outskirts in a recent playthrough of Bloodborne. In a video posted on Let Me Solo Her’s channel on YouTube, the legendary player talks about their experience with the 2015 FromSoftware RPG. Throughout their narrative venture, Let Me Solo Her mentions that, in their opinion, Laurence, the First Vicar holds the “most annoying boss title in Bloodborne.” For reference, Laurence is the only optional boss within The Old Hunters DLC. Let Me Solo Her mentioned that this was the last DLC boss they faced.

Why The Duskbloods Isn't Bloodborne 2 (Despite All The Similarities)
The Duskbloods was just announced for Nintendo Switch 2 by FromSoftware, and its similarities to the universe of the Bloodborne series are many.
As such, Laurence, the First Vicar, was fought after the legendary Elden Ring player got through the likes of Ludwig, the Accursed, Lady Maria, and the notorious Orphan of Kos in Bloodborne. Even so, the flaming Cleric Beast was considered the most annoying boss from among the roster. As seen in footage of Let Me Solo Her’s gameplay session against Laurence, they had trouble seeing what the boss was doing. This is one of the main issues with any battle within the fairly tight arena that is the Grand Cathedral, especially with bosses of gargantuan proportions, like Laurence and Amelia.
Elden Ring's Let Me Solo Her Praised Boss Fights Like Ludwig, Lady Maria, & Orphan Of Kos
Bloodborne’s Lady Maria Was Compared To Malenia
While Let Me Solo Her deemed Laurence as the most annoying of the boss fights in the 2015 title, they praised several of the other bosses in the game, including the aforementioned Ludwig, Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, and Orphan of Kos as some of the best bosses. Let Me Solo Her mentioned how Ludwig has one of the best soundtracks in the game. During their recorded fight against Ludwig, the Accursed in Bloodborne, they say that the boss’s movements are easier to dodge after he gets the Holy Moonlight Sword, and then is immediately hit by the weapon.

Bloodborne Isn't The Kind Of Game I'd Normally Play, But Here's Why I Fell In Love With It Anyway
Bloodborne’s horror-fueled narrative would normally be something I avoid, but its soulslike gameplay was a game-changer for this 2015 hit.
Regarding Lady Maria, Let Me Solo says that The Old Hunters’ cover enemy reminded them of Malenia: both are sleeping characters who are sleeping until they are disturbed by the player’s presence, which then leads to an epic duel between two “skillful opponents, each in their respective rights.” As seen in the recordings of Let Me Solo Her’s fight against the boss, the player compares one of Lady Maria’s attacks to Malenia’s notorious Waterfowl Dance, which is known for obliterating enemies. Waterfowl Dance is one of the main reasons players fail at beating Malenia in Elden Ring.
Waterfowl Dance can be dodged, but it takes some practice until avoiding all of its hits is mastered (something that Let Me Solo Her has already done).
The player says that every soulsborne game with a DLC has a boss that feels “overwhelmingly powerful,” comparing The Old Hunters’ Orphan of Kos to Elden Ring’s Promised Consort Radahn, Dark Souls 3’s Slave Knight Gael, and Dark Souls 1’s Manus, Father of the Abyss. Let Me Solo Her considered Orphan of Kos “the hardest boss” in Bloodborne, mentioning that they had to run Chalice Dungeons to farm Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets just to face the boss. There is some consensus that Orphan is the toughest boss in Bloodborne, and Let Me Solo Her’s statement only backs that argument.
Aside from the DLC bosses, which are known for being better than the ones in the base game, Let Me Solo Her also praised boss fights like Martyr Logarius, Mergo’s Wet Nurse, and Gehrman, the First Hunter. Regarding Mergo, Let Me Solo Her described the boss encounter as a “fantastic fight” that holds one of the best-looking boss designs in the game. After failing to beat Gehrman before exploring the DLC, Let Me Solo Her beat the game’s final boss (one of them, depending on the chosen ending for Bloodborne), during their first try after having concluded The Old Hunters.
Bloodborne Is The "Most Depressing FromSoft Game," According To Elden Ring's Let Me Solo Her
The 2015 Game Depicts A Tale Of Tragedy
In addition to the focus on bosses, which tend to occupy the spotlight in any soulslike game, the legendary player also highlighted the game’s rich lore. In fact, the title of the player’s video on YouTube is “The most depressing FromSoft game.” As can be seen throughout the video, this title is granted to it not only because of its dark gothic setting inspired by tales written by H.P. Lovecraft, but the very story it weaves. While most FromSoftware games are set in dark fantasy worlds where evil has won, I agree that Bloodborne is the saddest of them all.

10 Years After Its Release, New Bloodborne Lore Could Have Big Story Implications
10 years after its release, Bloodborne has received some brand new lore from an unlikely source and it could have interesting story implications.
Everything about the world of Bloodborne is an utter tragedy, and most of it portrays lowly citizens paying the ultimate price for greedy beings who wish to ascend beyond what their mortal vessel allows them to. It’s no wonder that the entire game revolves around the concept of escaping the nightmare and making it to the new day, where daylight comes to bring hope to humanity, even if for a short period. Overall, it seems like Let Me Solo Her’s experience with Bloodborne was positive, especially given his previous experience with Elden Ring and some of the hardest soulslike bosses.
