Summary
- Cal Kestis and BD-1 may be getting their own LEGO set.
- A recent video which showcased Minifigures of the two characters has some thinking a set could be on the way.
- Despite BD-1's previous LEGO treatment, fans eagerly anticipate a set featuring both iconic characters.
While there may already be plenty of Star Wars universe, two video game-exclusive characters may finally get the due as a t set. The galaxy far, far away has become known as one of LEGO's standout sets thanks to the brand's blocky aesthetic fitting neatly with the franchise's vehicles and landscapes. Yet while plenty of very obscure characters have been immortalized as LEGO pieces, two iconic heroes have yet to earn the same treatment but this may fortunately be about to change.
Per a recent video posted to X (formerly Twitter) by Star Wars UK to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the franchise's collaboration with LEGO, minifigures of both Cal Kestis and BD-1 can be seen at 02:08 deflecting blaster fire before chasing after a squadron of Stormtroopers.
While it shouldn't be taken as confirmation that the characters will soon be available as miniatures, it certainly does suggest that LEGO is developing some kind of product that includes the pair. Even the EA Star Wars commented on the post to call out the visual of the two characters.

Cal Kestis And BD-1 Are New Favorites
Here's Hoping They Feature In More Projects
While they may not have the legacy and reverence of Cal Kestis is a renegade Jedi who takes up arms with the Rebels to help dismantle the Empire and destroy The Inquisitors, a group of sinister Force-s. He's accompanied by his exploration droid BD-1 who's both a useful ally and a sympathetic ear for Cal's woes.
It's worth noting that while Cal Kestis has never been depicted as a LEGO Minifigure, BD-1 has received the full treatment in the form of a dedicated Minifig as well as a life-sized build of the tiny droid. The set comes with posable ts and an empty compartment to store Cal's healing stims, as well as an information display with various pieces of key info about the character. Despite this, BD-1 has never appeared in a larger set alongside his friend, so having some kind of build that features them both in action would no doubt please fans of the games.
Star Wars and LEGO have had an extremely successful relationship over the last 25 years that stretches beyond the toy sets. The brands have collaborated on entire animated movies and series as well as several beloved video games, including the critically acclaimed LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which was released in 2022. Given that Lucasfilm's franchise shows no signs of slowing down, fans can no doubt expect to see even more builds in the future.
