upgraded, next-gen editions, and along with them comes a new series of Zelda amiibo. Amiibo are small, plastic figurines of characters from various Nintendo games, with everything from Mario to Pokémon to Fire Emblem represented. But amiibo are more than just colorful collectibles; many of them can also be tapped on a Switch's right thumbstick in order to unlock a wide variety of in-game rewards, like special quests and items.

Although the release alongside the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.

Preorder The Riju Amiibo

The Sage Of Lightning

The Riju amiibo depicts the Sage of Lightning and Gerudo chief as she appears in Tears of the Kingdom. Like all the other Zelda amiibo, Riju is compatible with both the Switch and Switch 2 versions of BOTW and TOTK. Tapping the amiibo on your Joy-Cons will reward you with a random assortment of items in either game, likely consisting of ingredients, weapons, arrows, and potentially Zonai Devices where applicable. Riju also has a chance to reward you with a unique Paraglider fabric in TOTK only. Preorder here:

Do note that all the amiibo listed here are priced similarly at most retailers, running $29.99 each, having been subject to a price increase along with several other Switch 2 accessories. However, Walmart has slightly lower prices, selling the amiibo for $29.89 each.

Preorder The Sidon Amiibo

The Sage Of Water

The new Sidon amiibo for BOTW and TOTK features the Sage of Water in a characteristically confident pose, holding his signature Lightscale Trident. Sidon was first introduced in BOTW as the prince of the Zora tribe, the son of King Dorephan, and a younger brother to the Champion Mipha. He's one of few Zora to welcome Link after his 100-year slumber, and helps him take down the Divine Beast Vah Ruta in order to weaken Calamity Ganon. He later returns in TOTK to help Link once again, and in return, Link helps him clean out a mysterious sludge from Zora's Domain.

Sidon has become a fan favorite since his debut in BOTW, owing to his excellent character design and magnetic personality. Like the other amiibo here, he'll reward random items in both BOTW and TOTK on the Switch and Switch 2, with the chance to drop a special Paraglider fabric in TOTK.

Preorder The Tulin Amiibo

The Sage Of Wind

Next up is the Tulin amiibo, which depicts the Sage of Wind from TOTK. Interestingly enough, Tulin is the only character in this new line of amiibo whose role in TOTK differs significantly from his role in BOTW. In the first game, he only appears as a minor character, with some special interaction related to the Flight Range mini-game. He's grown significantly older by the time of TOTK, and takes on a more active part in the narrative as the Sage of Wind. You can preorder your Tulin amiibo here:

Like the others in his line, Tulin will reward you with some random items in both Zelda games for the Switch and Switch 2. There's also a chance he'll drop a special Paraglider fabric in TOTK.

Preorder The Yunobo Amiibo

The Sage Of Fire

Last but certainly not least, there's the Yunobo amiibo, which features the Sage of Fire in a comedic pose. Yunobo is a member of the Goron tribe, and a descendant of its original champion Daruk. He's a major part of Link's journey in both Zelda games on the Switch, first helping him find and defeat Divine Beast Vah Rudania, and later becoming the Sage of Fire after enlisting Link's help to free the people of Goron City from the brainwashing caused by eating Gloom-infested rocks. Preorder here:

Unlike the other amiibo listed here, Yunobo is listed as "coming soon" via Best Buy, GameStop, and Target, and doesn't appear at all on Walmart's digital store at the time of writing. It's expected that he'll become available for preorder alongside the others soon. As you've probably guessed, he'll spawn random items, with a potential Paraglider fabric in TOTK.

That's all for this round of amiibo. While preorders have already begun for Riju, Sidon, and Tulin, it may be a bit of a wait until Yunobo becomes available. Either way, all of the above should be out in time for the Switch 2 and its ports of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
