A new teaser of the sci-fi action anime, Lazarus, has been released, and it is safe to say that fans are in for a treat. Shinichiro Watanabe's latest anime is set to start airing on April 5, 2025, and is scheduled for 13 episodes. The series will premiere on Toonami, which is where other Watanabe works like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo aired. The episode will then hit Max the next day. With a lot of hype and anticipation being fanned for this over the past few months, Lazarus is looking up to be a highlight of 2025, a year that is very stacked with behemoths.

Shinichiro Watanabe needs no introduction, of course, but the other big name involved in the production of the anime is Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick films. He will be serving as the action supervisor, and alongside the brilliant mind of Watanabe as the scriptwriter and director, this anime has all the recipes of a new classic. Studio Mappa, the studio behind hits like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Yuri on Ice, will be in charge of bringing the anime to life.

Bonobo, Floating Points, and Kamasi Washington will lead the music for the event. Akemi Hayashi, animation director of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, will serve as the character designer. Takuma Sakamoto will handle the sound design, and Miho Sigiura will be the art director. Kamasi Washington will perform the opening song, while The Boo Radleys will perform the ending song. This is a very stacked line up of staff and the results are showing on the gorgeous trailer.
