Rumors are beginning to spread that one of the best Medieval-set games, Kingdom Come: Deliverance may be getting a sequel. The action role-playing game was released in February 2018 to universal acclaim, with a focus on historically accurate content as players explored the Kingdom of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire during a raging civil war.
These rumors began when Kingdom Come: Deliverance's developer, Warhorse Studios, announced a new game reveal coming on April 18 on its X . The announcement was accompanied be an image of a person riding a horse, leading to speculation that it could be another Medieval-period title.
Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson shared a follow-up post saying that it's Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and just to make it clearer, he stated "This isn't wishful thinking btw - It is Kingdom 2".

Fans Have Been Keen To Play A Kingdom Come: Deliverance Sequel
Over Six Years Have ed Since The First Game's Launch
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018, and while the title is available on modern consoles dur to backward compatibility, the topic of a current-gen update has come up often due to how beloved the game has become, and console players wanting some of the additional languages such as Czech dubbing or Brazilian Portuguese subtitles that were available on PC but not on consoles. Warhorse's PR Manager, Sir Tobi, previously explained in an interview with Vortex that such an upgrade is not just an easy patch and it requires time and resources they didn't have to hand, because they were completely focused on their next project.
With the Nintendo Switch port of the game being outsourced to Saber Interactive at the time, this led to speculation that Warhorse's new title was quite a way into development. While it was never confirmed by the studio what genre the new project would be, or if it would be a sequel, many hoped it would be a continuation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance as it would allow them to dive into the series again on a new adventure and would somewhat negate the desire for a current-gen the first title.
Fortunately, with April 18 only a mere week away as of the time of writing, Kingdom Come: Deliverance fans won't have to wait much longer to see what Warhorse Studios has in store, and if it is in fact a sequel to the acclaimed ARPG. The reveal can be watched at 20:00 CEST - which is 14:00 EST - on Warhorse Studio's official YouTube and Twitch channels.
