Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is set to release this year, over 6 years after the highly-acclaimed original medieval RPG title. The scope from the first game is set to increase significantly in the title while continuing the story of its protagonist, Henry, a blacksmith's son who sought revenge after the decimation of his hometown and murder of his family in the first game and will be far more involved in Kuttenberg's politics in the sequel.
The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was originally funded through crowdfunding via different kind of RPG" due to how it was more focused on historical accuracy and not on fantasy like other medieval-set titles. This proved to be popular, as 35,384 backers pledged £1,106,371, in total, far suring the original £300,000 that was requested.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Will Be Free For Some Players
Warhorse Has Already Started Reaching Out To Those Who Are Eligible
Redditor Interinactive took to the r/pcgaming subreddit to share an image of an email they'd received stating that they would be receiving a free copy of the sequel on whatever their chosen platform is. This is due to their crowdfunding backer level for the first game, as Warhorse Studios community manager - who goes by Dr-Fusselpulli on Reddit - revealed that it is related to the "Act 2" perk for certain pledges.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be launching on PC via. Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Warhorse Studios scrapped the "Acts" structure for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as the base game got significantly larger than the 20 hours that was originally intended, with the main campaign coming to approximately 41 hours, and completionists looking at a runtime of 130 Hours. Despite this, Dr-Fusselpulli states that the developers believe that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 comes close to the initial promise of "Act 2" that was offered to the backers back in 2014.

It's great to see that even a decade on, Warhorse Studios has ed those who were there for its RPG series from the start and are making good on a promise they made in the crowdfunding. It's always natural for projects to change in scope from their original crowdfunding vision, and it sounds like this was certainly the case with the first game, but a free copy of an even larger title such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 should certainly be a welcome reward to those who pledged at a higher level originally.
