Kim Kardashian knows Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but she likes that the new show allows her to have boundaries. Fans do not appreciate how different the Hulu series is from the long-running E! show. They think the new series is boring and doesn't offer the same drama as KUTWK. Part of the problem is everything the family discusses on The Kardashians has already been shared either in the media or all over social media. This makes it hard for the Kardashians to shock their fans with the show's content. Fans also wish they would go into depth about things like the Kim and Kanye West drama.

However, Kim loves that she doesn't have to show things she doesn't want to show on The Kardashians. Kim ed her friend Gwyneth Paltrow on her podcast, The goop Podcast, where she spoke about how The Kardashians is different from KUWTK and why she prefers the new series. According to Kim, because she has more creative control over her Hulu series, she can set boundaries and talk about things she couldn't talk about on KUWTK. She mentioned that she thinks the E! audience would have no interest in hearing about her law school journey and were more interested in her family doing funny things.

Fans Don't Like The Kardashians Format

Kim says the show's documentary-style format "gives me the beauty to have boundaries." Kim explained when she first starts dating someone, she doesn't want them on the show in the case that she decides she doesn't like them anymore. The reality star also said she likes that the series shows a different side of her and her family that KUWTK didn't allow. During The Kardashians season 1, Kim briefly mentioned the start of her relationship with Pete Davidson, and he made a quick appearance on The Kardashians season 2. Other than that, Kim kept their relationship separate from the show.

Kim's argument makes a lot of sense, especially as she gets older and her kids become her number one priority instead of fame like when she was in her 20s. It's hard for her to continue to be so vulnerable on the series when so many people in her life will be affected by it. While fans wish she would show more about her dynamic with Kanye and all the public drama he's caused, this could be detrimental to her children. Kim is very protective over her kids and wants them to love their father and believe he is a good person. It makes sense why she needs to set boundaries on The Kardashians.

Unfortunately, fans haven't been very understanding of the new format, and they make some good points themselves. The Kardashian family delivered quality reality tv for over a decade by giving fans a raw inside look into their lives. Fans have a right to be upset by the sudden change, especially when the new format isn't giving them the entertainment KUWTK did. Fans loved the comedic moments and all the times Kim broke down crying. There must be a way for the family to maintain their boundaries and still be more open with their fans on The Kardashians. Hopefully, they can come to a conclusion that works for everyone.
