Tantoo Cardinal will the cast of collaboration between Paramount and Apple TV+ and is written by Eric Roth, who has written Forrest Gump and A Star Is Born.
According to Deadline, Canadian and Native American actress, Tantoo Cardinal, is the latest addition to the cast of the movie. The film has a cast of Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, both of whom have collaborated with Scorsese multiple times, as well as Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemons. Cardinal will be playing Lizzie Q, mother of Gladstone's character, Mollie Burkhart. Cardinal is a veteran actress who has worked for over forty years in projects such as Dances with Wolves, Legends of the Fall, Godless, and Stumptown.
Cardinal is of Cree, Metis, Dene, and Nakota heritage and has had an established career in film and television, earning the Earle Grey Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Canadian Academy and becoming a Member of the Order of Canada. She has continuously inspired indigenous artists and fought for their recognition in the industry. Cardinal being a part of Killers of the Flower Moon is certainly of huge value with her impressive list of credits and accomplishments, and it will be intriguing to see what she adds to the film.
