When Kang The Conqueror Appears Next In The MCU

After the conclusion of Kang the Conqueror in the MCU? Marvel Studios threw viewers for a loop by having the creator of the TVA being revealed not only as He Who Remains in the series' final episode, but also being a version of Kang the Conqueror himself. As such, the major villain has been set up to play quite a large role going forward in the MCU's future. While Kang already had a confirmed role that's been known for some time, it's more than likely he could make more and potentially earlier appearances now that the MCU is about to be thrown into multiversal mayhem.

In the series finale of Marvel's Loki, Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie finally made it to the Citadel at the End of Time, which is where they met He Who Remains, the creator of the Time-Keepers and TVA. According to this enigmatic and eccentric orchestrator of the Sacred Timeline, He Who Remains stopped a multiversal war that was caused between multiple versions of himself, one of which is Kang the Conqueror. However, the Sacred Timeline and the pruning of branching timelines was the only way He Who Remains was able to prevent the multiversal war from occurring. While he had hoped that Loki and Sylvie would take his place to monitor the timeline, Sylvie refused and chose to murder him before Loki could stop her, leading to the multiverse being freed once more (along with multiple war-bent Kangs imminently on the way).

While it's been known for some time that Jonathan Majors has been confirmed to play Kang in 2023's Loki's ending certainly suggests that he'll be showing up sooner in other projects, especially with the announcement that Loki will be getting a second season. Additionally, when Loki returned to the TVA from the Citadel he discovered that Mobius and Hunter B-15 had no idea who he was and that the statues of the Time-Keepers had been replaced by one of Kang the Conqueror himself, complete with his comics-accurate costume (aside from his helmet). As such, it's quite likely that Kang will be a major presence when the new season airs on Disney+.

Going beyond the confirmed Ant-Man and implied Loki appearances, it's very possible that Spider-Man: No Way Home has also been heavily rumored to feature multiversal chaos as well, which makes it a prime choice for Kang to be featured in some brief capacity such as in a post-credit scene.

In any case, there's no doubt that Kang the Conqueror (perhaps multiple versions of him) has now been set up to be a major player in the MCU Phase 4. Being a master of time and space, Kang will definitely prove to be a significant challenge to any future heroes who dare to face him, and that includes Loki himself. Here's hoping the God of Mischief will find a way to get the upper hand against Kang the Conqueror down the line in the MCU wherever he may show up next (even if it's not until the third Ant-Man film).
