Summary

- Plastic Man's super elasticity allows him to disable even speedster heroes like The Flash.
- Justice League underestimate Plastic Man's abilities, but his power and potential danger have been acknowledged by Wonder Woman and Batman.
The A-List of the Justice League like Wonder Woman and Superman are among the most absurdly powerful characters in the DC Universe. However, the Z-Lister Plastic Man does not get the credit he deserves as one of the League's most powerful .
While he isn't nearly as famous as the most popular Justice Leaguers, Plastic Man is still incredibly dangerous. He is such a major threat that even Wonder Woman remarks on it in Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Four Annual #1 by Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Sergio Sandoval, Jordi Tarragona, Rex Lokus, and Wes Abbott.
After his son is arrested as a dissident, Plastic Man confronts Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Sinestro, and Cyborg. Despite this overwhelming amount of power, Wonder Woman is the one who warns the League about Plastic Man. She tells the other League to keep their eyes on him, and if a fight breaks out, to use absolutely everything with no restraint.

Batman Accidentally Created a Major Justice League Hero
When pursuing a fugitive from justice, Batman discovers a connection he has to Plastic Man, the most bizarre member of the Justice League.
Plastic Man Can Easily Take Down The Flash
Patrick O'Brien started out as a criminal, but a freak accident left him abandoned by his criminal friends and with the power of super elasticity. Patrick recovered from his accident with a group of monks who took care of him, despite him being a stranger. This one act of kindness made Patrick reconsider his life, so he gave up crime and became a superhero. While Plastic Man's powers may seem goofy, they're actually on the more absurd end of the power scale. He was a regular member of the Justice League for a reason, and that reason is how he's nigh-immortal and practically unbeatable in a fight.
Having the power of super elasticity allows Plastic Man to do terrifying things. This is seen in Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Four Annual #1 when he disables the Flash by turning his fingers into tendrils and snaking them into Barry's windpipe. This suffocates the Flash Barry from the inside, causing him to out. He then uses his powers to impersonate the Flash and gain access to the Justice League headquarters, allowing him to free his son along with many imprisoned superheroes.
Justice League Underestimate Plastic Man
While he rarely gets adventures of his own, Plastic Man has proven time and again just how absurdly powerful he really is.
Plastic Man has regenerated after spending centuries in pieces. An alternate evil version of Plastic Man showed the ability to rip people's hearts out or even hide inside people's bodies. Even Batman has remarked on how lucky every hero on Earth is that Plastic Man decided to give up being a criminal. Alternate versions of Plastic Man, such as the zombie version in DCeased or the vampire one in DC vs Vampires, also demonstrate how absolutely terrifying he could be if he wanted. Both Wonder Woman and Batman have remarked on how dangerous Patrick O'Brian can be if he chooses, so next time the Justice League is heading out on a mission, they should to bring their most powerful member, Plastic Man.
