Director and co-writer of trio of Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reprising their roles as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively.

Dominion takes place four years after the end of 2018's colossally-sized dinosaur aptly named the Giganotosaurus has already been teased by Trevorrow as the 'Joker' of Jurassic World Dominion, in that it's big enough to take on a T-Rex and only lives to create chaos.

Trevorrow recently posted a new Dominion-themed map labeled 'North American Dinosaur Sightings' that shows where the hot spots of dinosaurs are in the United States, with keys down the left and right sides showing which creatures correspond to which symbols. The map shows a far greater density of dinosaurs on the West Coast, with some in the Midwest and none in the South or along the East Coast. Check out the Jurassic World Dominion map below:

Jurassic World Dominion dinosaur density map United States

The distribution of dinosaurs falling heavily towards the western part of the country implies that the dinosaurs that escaped from the Lockwood Estate in northern California in Fallen Kingdom haven't had the ability or desire to travel too far beyond the Continental Divide. The greatest concentration appears to be in California, followed by Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Utah. While the states with lower concentrations have almost exclusively Pteranodon and Gallimimus,  the West Coast has a wide variety of both predator and prey including: Baryonyx, Velociraptor, T-Rex, Ankylosaurus, Parasaurlolophus, and Stegosaurus. It's likely that when Jurassic World 3 focuses on the States, it will be in the West Coast since the Dominion trailer shows a wide variety of dinosaurs, and also shows dinosaurs running alongside wild horses in snow capped mountains.

The marketing campaign for Jurassic World Dominion continues to build up audience anticipation with the release of images like this map. Other promotional material like the newly released poster that features the original Jurassic Park cast alongside the Jurassic World stars seeks to fulfill the film's promise to mesh the two worlds together in a way that meets fan expectations. The map gives audiences just a taste of the kinds of locales audiences can expect to see their favorite dinosaurs in, but only the release of Jurassic World Dominion will prove if the film is truly the dinosaur crossover event that it's being hyped up to be.
