In the series' strongest sorcerer, despises the higher-up staff at Jujutsu High and the strict rules they force him to follow, both in his teaching and in his sorcery work. Throughout the series, he disagrees with most of the decisions the higher-ups make, and often pushes back against them. Although he openly hates his superiors, Gojo never goes too far in his retaliation against them, but what if he had?
Early on in the series, when it appeared that Yuji Itadori had died for real, Gojo spoke the vengeful words, "Maybe I should just kill all the higher-ups." Obviously, the sorcerer never brought this violent suggestion into reality, but if he had, Jujutsu Kaisen and Gojo's character arc both would have taken an entirely different turn.
Gojo Considered Killing the Higher-Ups, Who He Always Loathed, for a Brief Moment
His Hatred for These Superiors Was Always Evident, but Surprisingly, Never Really Acted Upon
Gojo's detestation of the higher-ups at Jujutsu High is not without reason. First, he disagrees with all the rigid rules and regulations around sorcerer behavior, since he feels that these stipulations make it more difficult for sorcerers and professors alike to do their jobs. Gojo believes if he was able to be more creative and brave in his curse-killing methods, he could save more people, which was his primary objective for becoming a sorcerer in the first place. Gojo also dislikes how conservative and stuck in their ways the higher-ups are, refusing to consider new viewpoints or changes.

Jujutsu Kaisen's Gojo is More Than a Great Character, He's Anime's Most Complex Hero
While jujutsu Kaisen's Gojo Satoru is popular among fans for a number of aesthetic reasons, he's far more than just another over-powered shonen hero.
Even when it became evident that Sukuna and other Cursed Spirits like Mahito and Jogo were planning a major attack on humanity, the higher-ups were still hesitant to take risks or act differently to prevent the oncoming calamity. Gojo is very independent and hates having his power restrained by anyone, and the higher-ups unwillingness to improve with the times was a major sticking point that led him to really resent the entire organization he worked for. What really solidified Gojo's negative feelings towards the higher-ups, though, was their treatment of exceptional aspiring young sorcerers, specifically, Yuji Itadori.
The Way the Higher-Ups Treated Yuji Solidified Gojo’s Hatred
Their Willingness to Execute an Innocent Child Made Gojo Despise the Higher-Ups Even More
Back in season one, when Yuji consumed Sukuna's finger to protect Megumi from danger, the villainous curse began using Yuji's body as a vessel, but Yuji still had control most of the time. Yet, the higher ups still demanded that Yuji be executed to prevent a future disaster. Gojo was horrified by this decision and argued before his superiors himself, taking responsibility for the boy since he could already see Yuji's potential. Few people could survive their body being taken over by Sukuna, but Yuji could, so Gojo did not want to waste the natural-born talent Yuji was clearly gifted with.

Anime's Strongest Characters Are All Different, But Jujutsu Kaisen's Gojo Is My Fave For a Simple Reason
The strong character archetype is a common one in anime, but Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen is the best example, for a complicated reason.
Aside from Yuji's power, Gojo also found it wrong to kill an innocent teenager who had done nothing wrong. Throughout Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo risked his own life for youths time and time again, always stating that children deserve to be protected and to lead happy, fulfilled lives, which is an honorable stance. The fact that the higher-ups were so ready to kill Yuji without a second thought only caused Gojo's bitterness towards them to fester. When Yuji later had a near-death experience, Gojo was furious enough to make the comment about killing the higher-ups, revealing just how angry he had gotten at them.
Had Gojo Murdered the Higher-Ups, He Could Have Been a Villain or Anti-Hero Instead
Gojo Would Have No Other Choice but to Act as a Sorcerer on His Own, Apart From Jujutsu High's Jurisdiction
Jujutsu Kaisen, and although he prefers to follow his own rules, he never did anything that seriously threatened Jujutsu High. However, had he actually carried out the sorcerer's massacre, his role in the story would have shifted dramatically, from that of a hero to a villain or anti-hero type character instead. If Gojo had taken out the higher-ups by force, the structure of Jujutsu High would have changed drastically, perhaps allowing for the positive changes Gojo always hoped would be implemented to occur, which would help more people be saved.
Contrarily though, Gojo would definitely be frowned upon by society if he killed high-ranking of Jujutsu High though, so he would likely have to start acting on his own as a vigilante sorcerer. It is extremely unlikely Jujutsu High would continue to allow Gojo to be d with them or teach there if he murdered staff , so the sorcerer would have to pursue a different path, saving people without the help of his fellow Jujutsu High sorcerers. If Gojo had taken this extreme action, his character arc would have followed a similar trajectory as Geto Suguru's, his former best friend.
In This Scenario, Gojo’s Character Arc Would Perhaps Take a Similar Path as Geto’s
Geto Was Kicked Out of Jujutsu High for His Crimes, and Gojo Would Have Been Too Had He Killed Higher-Ups
one of Jujutsu Kaisen's villains. If Gojo had massacred the higher-ups at Jujutsu High, he would also have been kicked out and perhaps his life would have gone in a similar direction as Geto's did.

10 Most Memorable Jujutsu Kaisen Characters
The characters in Jujutsu Kaisen were remarkable, with some so memorable that without them, the series wouldn't have turned out as it did.
Both Gojo and Geto were disappointed with Jujutsu High's ideology and practices, but Geto did something controversial and deadly to get revenge, while Gojo continued to play by the rules, more or less. Gojo is a different person than Geto, with different morals, so he likely would not have turned out quite the same as his past best friend, even if he had killed the higher-ups. Gojo disagreed with Geto's plan to kill non-sorcerers, so they likely still would never have found common ground. However, Gojo Satoru's character arc would have been notably different, and more villainous, had he actually killed the higher-ups in Jujutsu Kaisen.
