Jonathan Majors answers whether he could return as Majors was fired by Marvel in December 2023 after being convicted of misdemeanor third-degree assault and second-degree harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Now that Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom took over Kang's role, Majors talks about a possible return.
Speaking to future MCU movies. Check out the full quote below:
"Yeah, of course I say yes. Disney, Marvel Studios, I love them. Tom Hiddleston, loved working with that guy. Loved working with Paul Rudd. Loved working with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. I love the industry so much, and now I'm in the place where I can feel the love from them and actually express my love for them. For a long time, my mind was set very much like Killian (his Magazine Dreams character): 'If I do this well, you will love me.' Jesus, bro. (Wipes away a tear.) 'If I give everything I got in preparation in between action and cut, there's no way you can't love me.' But then I was isolated after that."
What Jonathan Majors’s Kang The Conqueror Comments Mean
The Actor Wants To Come Back To The MCU
Majors recently opened up about being fired from the MCU. According to the actor, he learned about it as soon as he got into the car following his conviction. He also revealed that he is taking meetings for new projects, which include a new superhero film, though not with Marvel or DC. That shows how the actor wants to continue in the superhero bubble, making it evident that he would return to the MCU as Kang the Conqueror in the blink of an eye if Marvel called him, as he has now said in the new interview.

Loki's Death And The Destruction Of All Universes Will Be Avengers: Doomsday's Version Of Thanos' Snap In Infinity War According To Devastating Marvel Theory
A bleak Avengers: Doomsday theory showcases how Tom Hiddleston's Loki could die and lead to an Infinity War-level dark ending for the MCU movie.
Kang was last seen in his debut film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. On the chance that Marvel does end up calling Majors to return as the character, the studio would need to explain how he was alive, as the villain seemingly died fighting Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, since the MCU completely changed its plans and pivoted to Doctor Doom, with the next Avengers movie going from The Kang Dynasty to Doomsday, it is hard to believe that Marvel would go back to Kang and his variants, no matter how Majors feels about a return.
Our Take On Jonathan Majors’s Kang The Conqueror Comments
The MCU Has Moved On From Kang
The only way I could see Kang returning to the MCU is if Marvel brings back the Council of Kangs to kill the team early in Avengers: Doomsday. I think it would be a great way of showing how powerful Doctor Doom is if he was the one to do it. That said, even if Majors wants to come back, Marvel would not need the actor for that to happen. The studio could cast multiple actors as the Kang variants and call it a day. Despite his desire to return as Kang the Conqueror, Majors' MCU days are likely over.
