JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's most dynamic, intriguing side character, Rohan Kishibe, is receiving another installment in his spin-off manga series. The series, titled Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, consists of manga chapter one-shots, and a new one is on the way.

A new chapter of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, entitled "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Episode 12: Bruschetta," will appear in Ultra Jump's April 18, 2025 issue, continuing the popular spin-off series. The spin-off manga has been very well-received, even earning itself its own anime adaptation and live-action movie.

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Spin-off is Receiving a New Chapter

On April 18, "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Episode 12: Bruschetta," Will Appear in Ultra Jump

Rohan Kishibe was introduced in the Part Four, Diamond Is Unbreakable, arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, as the eccentric mangaka that Josuke and his friends visited for help on their quest to catch Kira Yoshikage, Morioh's most dangerous serial killer. Heaven's Door, which is Rohan's Stand, is one of the series' most creative skills of all time, as it allows the manga writer to alter reality by writing out an action he wants someone to take. An ability this powerful has many different uses, and Hirohiko Araki explores some of these in the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan spin-off manga series.

The Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan manga releases chapters on occasion and each chapter acts as a standalone episode, focusing on a specific self-contained event. In these brief stories, Rohan Kishibe, who writes manga himself, is hunting for inspiration and meets an intriguing cast of characters on his journey, making each chapter of the spin-off new and fresh. There are a few other JoJo's spin-offs, but Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is the most popular, even receiving its own anime, and the one that has continued the longest, with new chapters still coming out on a fairly regular basis.

On February 18, 2021, The Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan television anime debuted on Netflix, bringing the events of Araki's manga one-shots to life. It is only one season so far, with four episodes of about 25 minutes each available for streaming on Netflix. Although fans are eager for more of the thrilling anime, since it is an OVA miniseries that relies on Araki releasing new chapters of the one-shot manga, it is not as consistent as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure itself, which has a more structured, ongoing storyline in comparison to Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan's standalone style of storytelling.

This new April 2025 chapter of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan would provide new material for an additional episode of the anime, and although no plans to expand the OVA miniseries have been confirmed, it is a possibility. Furthermore, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan also has a live-action film adaptation coming soon, a first for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure world. In spring 2025, “Episode 16: At a Confessional,” will be portrayed on-screen as a live-action production. Manga spin-offs are not always successful, but Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan has definitely been embraced by fans and adds a lot to the JoJo's universe.
