Jimmy Fallon will executive produce The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Under a development deal between Fallon's production company, Electric Hot Dog, and NBCUniversal, Fallon will executive produce The Kids Tonight Show – a late-night show run entirely by young people. According to Variety, the show is co-created by Fallon and his brother-in-law Jim Juvonen, and will feature celebrity and musical guests similarly to The Tonight Show. Said Susan Rovner, NBCUniversal's Chairman of Entertainment Content:

“We continue to be in awe of all things Jimmy. Who else could run ‘The Tonight Show,’ executive produce and host brand new formats, and adapt his own bestselling books? Jimmy does them all with his signature style. We are privileged to call him a longtime member of our broadcast family.”

As a father of two young daughters, Fallon has an innate knack for approaching and tailoring his comedy to young audiences. Fallon has even released seven children's books, with an animated adaptation of his book 5 More Sleeps 'Til Christmas in the works. Because the content of The Tonight Show mainly targets adult audiences, an adaptation made especially for younger audiences is likely to gain a strong following. Additionally, The Kids Tonight Show will help Peacock to build their catalog of original content appropriate for young audiences. While a release date has not been set, The Kids Tonight Show is likely to charms families everywhere when it premieres.
