seems energetic with his slapstick comedy, often reminding people of a modern-day Charlie Chaplin.
If he isn't playing the role of a wild and crazy character, like that of The Mask or Lloyd Christmas in another reason why so many people love him.
Aries - Scrooge
In 2009, Jim Carrey voiced a number of characters in A Christmas Story, most notably that of Ebenezer Scrooge. Carrey also provided the motion capture for the character, so that it would look like him as much as possible. Scrooge is an iconic character, just as the story of the three ghosts of Christmas is incredibly famous.
Scrooge makes for a perfect Aries. He is insanely hot-headed and quick to make decisions based on his own emotions. This is true for he is a grumpy old man, and near the end when he has had a change of heart. Scrooge acts on impulse, like many Aries do, and bases his actions on what he feels ionate about.
Taurus - Count Olaf
Count Olaf from the 2004's Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events makes for the perfect stubborn Taurus. Carrey played Olaf, the evil count who continuously tries to steal the fortune of the Baudelaire children in any way he can. Like a Taurus, Olaf never seemingly gives up and will do anything he can to get his way.
He is patient while also being consisten,t and is seemingly waiting for the children around every corner. Olaf puts a lot of value in material gain and therefore cares more about money than he does about human life, and will not shy away from murder in order to get what he wants.
Gemini - Charlie/Hank
Jim Carrey technically plays two characters in the rom-com Me, Myself, and Irene, in which the kind, loving, warm, and awkward Charlie has a dark side. And that dark side's name is Hank. The duality of Charlie and Hank makes for the perfect exaggeration of the Gemini.
Geminis love to have fun, laugh, and go on adventures, and those driving forces are what get Charlie and Hank into the mess they somehow end up in. Charlie is the kind and quiet side, while Hank is the brash "get what he wants" side to this Gemini pair.
Cancer - Joel Barish
Joel Barish's heart has become too heavy for him to bear. Jim Carrey plays the love-scorned man in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, who wishes to forget about the girl who broke his heart. And in this science-fiction reality, there is a procedure that can do just that.
This film follows Joel's progress as he slowly undergoes the procedure to forget his ex-manic pixie dream girlfriend who had the same thing done to her, in a non-linear narrative of emotions. Not only is Joel an excellent Cancer, someone with deep emotions who just doesn't quite know how to express them, this film is also perfect for any Cancer to watch, and would probably become an instant favorite with all of its heart and emotion.
Leo - Bruce Nolan
After receiving God's power, Bruce Nolan from Bruce Almighty gets pretty full of himself. He is immediately filled with pride and feels as though he can do anything he pleases because his powers can just make any consequence go away. Of course, this isn't true, as he learns that people still have their free will.
Bruce makes for an excellent Leo because he is creative and ionate. He comes up with new and creative ways to romance his girlfriend, Grace, and figures out new ways to rise to the top in the anchorman industry while eliminating his competition. He is self confident like a Leo, and has a lot of pride in himself, even before he received God's powers.
Virgo - Riddler
Jim Carrey played The Riddler in Batman Forever, alongside Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), Val Kilmer (Batman), and Nicole Kidman (Dr. Chase Meridian). The Riddler, though incredibly eccentric, unlike a Virgo, shares a lot of similarities to the zodiac sign. The Riddler is analytical, hardworking, and practical.
He is always trying to come up with new ideas, schemes, and riddles to best the Batman. The Riddler is probably one of the smartest Batman villains, though he lets his anger often get the best of him. He is incredibly methodical and likes to have a plan for every detail.
Libra - The Mask
Jim Carrey plays Stanely Ipkiss, a very plain guy just trying to do his work and get by in life. He gets ridiculed by his colleagues pretty frequently and is often insecure. This all changes, however, the moment Ipkiss puts on a magical wooden mask he finds underneath a bridge. The mask attaches itself to Ipkiss and he becomes a whole new man, a cartoonish figure who simply goes by The Mask.
The Mask loves to have a fun time, he will go wherever the wind takes him, much like that of a Libra. He is incredibly social and the life of the party and isn't afraid to flirt or make a fool out of himself at any point.
Scorpio - The Grinch
The Grinch in How The Grinch Stole Christmas is the perfect example of a Scorpio. Jim Carrey adorned the green fur and bodysuit for this roll and embodied the Grinch perfectly. He was a grumpy man who simply hated Christmas and cheer and anything happy.
But he hated these things because of his own well of emotions that had built up since his childhood. Scorpios feel strongly, a trait that is often forgotten due to the fact that they don't seem to quite know how to express it.
Sagittarius - Ace Ventura
Ace Ventura, the famed and eccentric pet detective based in Miami, Florida, is a strange yet perfect example of a Sagittarius. Sagittarius loves adventure, they seek out fun wherever and whenever they can. They seem to be constantly on the move and feel totally trapped when they are confined to normal life.
Pet Detective and When Nature Calls. In the latter, the film begins with the character on a literal adventure, perfectly suited for the curious, energetic Sagittarius.
Capricorn - Carl
Carl, from Yes Man, feels pretty down on his luck. He hasn't gotten a promotion, he isn't successful with women, and he has a pretty lousy apartment. But Carl's problem is that he always says "no" to new opportunities before he realizes what great things they may lead to.
This trait is very similar to that of the Capricorn, who is fiercely independent and often feels they can handle everything on their own. They feel like no one but them can truly help them, and so they either suffer in their own failures or learn how to become successful. For Carl, that success was just him saying "yes" to anything and everything.
