Jeopardy! Masters season 3 has already had some stunning moments, but the most gasp-worthy one of the Knockout rounds was Juveria Zaheer's gutsy Game 6 true Daily Double, which helped propel her into fourth place and the quarterfinals. Hosted by Ken Jennings, Jeopardy! Masters featured nine of the most elite champions in Jeopardy! history, including Juveria, Isaac Hirsch, Neilesh Vinjamuri, Adriana Harmeyer, Matt Amodio, Roger Craig, Brad Rutter, Yogesh Raut, and Victoria Groce.

During the Jeopardy! Masters season 3 Knockout rounds, three contestants--Neilesh, Adriana, and Brad--were eliminated, while the rest moved on, taking their match points with them. The quarterfinalists are Yogesh, Victoria, Roger, Juveria, Isaac, and Matt. Yogesh finished the Knockout rounds in first place with 6 match points and 2 wins, while both Victoria and Roger had 4 points and 1 win. Juveria and Isaac each had 3 points and 1 win, while Matt had 2 points and 0 wins. As Juveria advances to the quarterfinals, here's why her Game 6 true Daily Double was the most memorable moment of the Knockout rounds.

What Made Juveria Zaheer's Jeopardy! Masters Season 3 Game 6 Daily Double So Stunning?

Juveria Did What She Had To Do In Order To Advance To The Quarterfinals

During Jeopardy! Masters season 3 Game 6, Juveria's future in the tournament was on the line. Only one spot was left in the quarterfinals as she competed against Neilesh and Brad. Juveria was in 8th place with 0 match points before Game 5 was played, and she played in Game 6.

When Juveria found the first Daily Double in the game during the first round, she made it a true Daily Double, doubling her points from 2,000 to 4,000. However, at the end of the round, with 4,400 points she had less than half of Brad's score of 9,000 points going into Double Jeopardy!. When she found the first Daily Double of Double Jeopardy! in the category "Biologist Bio," (available to view in the video above from the Jeopardy! Masters Instagram page), she had 7,600 points, while Brad was in the lead with 11,000 points.

Juveria didn't hesitate and said, "Well, if it's the last time I ever do this, 7,600," and made it a true Daily Double as the audience cheered. The clue was "In 1929, way before she wrote a few bestsellers, she did post-grad work at the Marine Biological Lab. in Woods Hole, Mass." Juveria correctly answered, "Who is Carson?," and took the lead with 15,200 points. She later found the second Daily Double of the game, but, because she was in the lead, she only bet 4,000 of her 17,200 points. She answered correctly, and her score was 21,200.

Before Final Jeopardy!, Juveria was in the lead with 26,800 points, while Brad had 15,800, and Neilesh had 4,000. The triple-stumper Final Jeopardy! question cost all of the contestants points, but Juveria won the game with 20,800 over Brad's 4,799 points, and Neilesh's 0 points. It was so exciting that she'd found every Daily Double in Jeopardy! Masters season 3 Game 6, especially because she's known for her bold wagers. If it wasn't for her gutsy Daily Double earlier in the game, Juveria might never have earned enough points to win.

Throughout the Jeopardy! Masters season 3 Knockout rounds, other contestants made exciting Daily Double wagers, but Juveria's was the most gasp-worthy because it showed that she was willing to do whatever it took to stay in the tournament. Her place in the quarterfinals was in danger, and she knew that she had to pull out all the stops in order to advance. She ended up besting Jeopardy! legend Brad, who holds the record for the most money ever won in Jeopardy!, both regular and tournament gameplay, which was a very impressive feat.
