An alternative Spielberg's movie career, paving the way for early-career films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and E.T. The 1975 movie follows three men, played by Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss, as they embark on a quest aboard a boat called the Orca to take down a killer shark.
A new piece of art shared by PhaseRunner on X, formerly Twitter, imagines what an alternate Jaws poster could have looked like.
The alternative design features the Jaws logo in its classic red font, with the Orca sailing above as a giant storm cloud in the shape of a shark prepares to bite down on it. In a nod to the movie's '70s release, the poster even features some digital aging effects and fading.

Jaws Kill Count: How Many People The Sharks Killed In All 4 Movies
The sharks in Jaws rack up a pretty impressive kill count across the four movies, and here's how many victims they have and which movie has the most.
Is Jaws Steven Spielberg's Best Movie?
Why Jaws Remains A Classic
There's little question that Jaws put Spielberg on the map as a filmmaker. Declaring it his best film, however, is another matter entirely, given how many incredible movies he has released over the course of his 60-year career. Even though Jaws' pacing could be considered somewhat slow by today's standards, especially before Quint, Brody, and Hooper embark on their mission to destroy the shark, the movie holds up remarkably well today, including its shark attack sequences.
Three Jaws sequels were released, none of which Spielberg directed.
While Jaws remains a thrilling watch even today, even 49 years later, there are a handful of other Spielberg films that could take the title of the filmmaker's best. 1981's Raiders of the Lost, for example, remains one of the best action movies of all time, introducing Harrison Ford's iconic movie hero, Indiana Jones. 1993's Jurassic Park, too, is blockbuster fun at its absolute best.
In addition to his more fun blockbusters, Spielberg has also directed a number of serious films that tackle harrowing subject matter. Both Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan, for example, take place during World War II, with the former presenting a haunting portrayal of the Holocuast. Spielberg himself even recently revealed that he believes Schindler's List to be the best movie of his career. Spielberg's best movie will always be a matter of personal preference, but the latest poster speaks to just how important and influential Jaws remains so many years later.
