While season 1 of The Leftovers takes place in a fictional town in New York, season 2 switches locations to a Texas town called Jarden, where no one departed. Brown's character Evie and the rest of her family are introduced at the beginning of season 2. Evie is the teenage daughter of John and Erika, but shortly after being introduced, she goes missing. Along with the other mysteries that surround the departed, Evie's family attempts to determine if she ran away or ed the 2% of people who disappeared years earlier.

While Brown is a recurring rather than main character, her performance as Evie is very impressive, especially considering how early it was in the star's career. While Yellowjackets certainly has its fair share of mysteries that are unraveled throughout its three seasons, the most obvious reason that it has been seen as a Lost replacement is, quite simply, that it follows survivors of a plane crash through multiple different timelines. The survival aspects of the show and the mysteries of what the characters find in the wilderness tie the shows together, but Yellowjackets' focus on teenage girls and the chaotic adults that they become after being rescued adds its own unique twist.
