Janine Mueller was a part of My 600-lb Life season 6, but has since moved on with her life - she's thriving away from reality TV. My 600-lb Life season 6 aired in 2018, and Janine was an instant hit. She was originally 678 pounds and lost 112 pounds, weighing 566 pounds by the end of her episode. However, Janine didn't qualify for weight-loss surgery. Although she wasn't able to shed enough pounds to qualify for a bariatric procedure until later on, she didn't get too discouraged.
Janine struggled with her weight - she was barely mobile for years before meeting Dr. Now. She connected with him so he could help her to slim down. She moved to Houston permanently to be closer to him. Despite having a good run on My 600-lb Life, and eventually getting weight-loss surgery, Janine was unhappy with how her story was edited. She said the production team left out all the parts where she spoke about God. In her opinion, her faith was crucial to her success.

.
Additionally, she revealed that her cat is still alive - she's devoted to her feline companion.
Janine's exploring the world without worrying about asking for a seat belt extender. She also shared that she and her boyfriend were no longer together while they filmed the series. That was such an interesting revelation.
Janine Mueller's Journey On My 600-Lb Life Had Highs & Lows
She Worked Hard To Get Where She Is Today
In every My 600-lb Life story, some rain must fall, as seen in the TLC at Facebook video shown above. No one goes through the process without hurting sometimes, and maybe lashing out at other people. Breaking a food addiction is not easy.
Hunger is natural - everyone's programmed to get hungry and eat.
Those who begin turning to food for solace end up needing an unhealthy amount of it in order to feel satisfied. Since a person can't really "turn off" hunger, overeating is a tough habit to break. Nonetheless, Janine really tried and she did get results. Along the way, as seen in the clip above, there were some bumps in the road.
It's possible for a person to greatly improve their health after weight-loss surgery. This type of surgical procedure is linked with lower blood pressure and healthier blood sugar levels. So, anyone who is obese and interested in getting this sort of operation should talk to their doctor.
Janine was once so heavy that she had trouble taking care of herself. Moving around was very tough. Just the process of getting out of her bed in the morning was an exhausting ordeal. By the time she made it into her motorized vehicle, she was worn out and stressed. Personal care tasks such as bathing were complicated. It was hard to reach for things like towels. Janine seemed so miserable.
It's terrible what addiction does to people. Addicts deserve comion even though they can be frustrating to deal with at times. They make bad decisions because addiction is pushing them to do self-destructive things.
Janine began losing weight with Dr. Now's help, and she did so by eating a low-carb diet. She consumed a lot of protein, which probably helped her to feel full as she dieted. Without carbs, which wreak havoc with blood sugar levels and make it harder to lose weight, Janine was able to slim down considerably. Today, she looks fantastic.
Janine Mueller Got A Cute Manicure After Filming The Show
The My 600-Lb Life Alum Looks Great With Lavender Nails
Sometimes, weight loss can spark a beauty revolution. Janine looked quite slim in the Instagram post shown above, while holding up her hands to show off a subtle new manicure. As with Tammy Slaton from 1000-Lb Life, who's having fun with fashion after losing 440 pounds, Janine's babying herself with fun beauty treatments that make her look and feel good. Fans loved this post from January 9, 2020 - one of them took to the comments section, saying:
Just watched your episode you look absolutely fabulous 👏❤️
In a cute striped sweater and dark pants, Janine looked quite thin, especially in contrast to her days on the popular series. The pink top with black stripes looked great with her fair skin and dark hair. What's perhaps more important is how happy she looks. She's smiling and appears to be very content. That's really the best byproduct of losing weight. How the body looks and feels can affect the mind, heart, and soul
Janine's Career Is Thriving Post-My 600-Lb Life
She's Promoting Her Ventures Online
After filming her episode, Janine has a thriving career working as an executive for Paparazzi Accessories. Since her career is going so well, she is now thinking about getting other procedures done which may enhance her mobility. For example, Janine shared that she was planning on getting a knee replacement. The surgery, if successful, would help her to move - she'd also be more comfortable.
While she's deeply involved with Paparazzi Accessories, a juicy Vox story painted the "five dollar jewelry" firm as a multi-level marketing scheme. Apparently, there was a nightmare Paparazzi conference in 2021, where a lot of people came unmasked, greedy for trinkets. They wanted jewelry, and many of them got COVID-19, as well as ultra-cheap pendants that cost less than a McDonald's combo meal.
If the company's considered a pyramid scheme, that means that people at the top of the organization (Paparazzi Accessories) make most of their money by bringing in new recruits, rather than from selling jewelry. Generally, getting involved with an MLM does not pay off. Many people get hurt because they lose money. They buy stuff from the company, and then they can't sell it.
A lot of reality stars have gotten wrapped up in MLM companies - LuLaRoe is another example. That controversial fashion company's also considered a pyramid scheme - Meri Brown from Sister Wives represents LuLaRoe. It was eviscerated in a Netflix documentary, LuLaRich. So, although Janine seems to enjoy selling the jewelry, it's possible that Paparazzi Accessories isn't on the up and up.
Dr. Now Did Help Janine Mueller
She Seems To Be Maintaining Her Weight-Loss Results
Janine looks like a whole new woman. She's dramatically thinner, and just as important, she seems very happy. She's exploring life and trying new things. However, they need to do some work outside of the operating room, and Janine did.
Janine Is Showing Off Bold & Confident Style
She's Feeling Herself After An Inspiring Weight Loss Journey
Janine looks so healthy and happy. It's amazing how much a person can change when they set their mind to it. Dr. Now sparked an amazing transformation, and Janine did her bit by following the gifted and experienced surgeon's orders. When a patient really surrenders to the process with Dr. Now, they can change their outlook and boost their well-being. Above, Janine shines in a vibrant purple outfit. She matches her lipstick and jewelry to her shirt, looking polished and pulled-together.
A little vanity is a good thing. It's about wanting to make a good impression, having fun with hair, makeup and fashion, and showing a sense of optimism. Some My 600-lb Life patients give up on clothing, cosmetics and more. They have too many problems and their self-esteem is low. Some have trouble bathing, or difficulty doing other tasks. They can become unkempt due to the issues they're facing. For this, they deserve comion.
When they begin to bloom after weight loss, some of them begin to care more about how they look.
It's fascinating to watch a person blossom after such a grueling and challenging process. Janine is beautiful at any weight, but what makes her really stunning in the shot above is her sense of inner peace. It's the light in the eyes, the look of contentment, the good energy that runs through her like an electric current. When life was really hard, she didn't have that. It's like weight loss helped her to find herself. She's someone that it's so easy to root for.
Despite having some regrets about appearing on reality TV, Janine's My 600-lb Life journey was inspirational. Her recent pictures show that she is doing well - Janine's is in a good place in her life. Her story's inspiring, and may motivate others who are in similar situations. Hopefully, My 600-lb Life season 12's cast will enjoy long-term weight loss success.
