The short tutorials help players come to grips with a lot of the combat mechanics, but there are a lot of things that the player can accomplish in the game that isn't outright said. Iron Man VR: Shoot One-Handed
One of the biggest difficulties that players may face is trying to avoid damage while still shooting at combat drones. The trick here is that the player can fire with one hand while still using the thrusters on their other to move. They won't be able to move as quickly this way, but it can be a great way to keep up some momentum while eliminating a few pesky drones from the battlefield. Players should practice this skill a lot so that it becomes second nature.
Iron Man VR: Punch and Ground Pound Enemies
While firing rockets and lasers at enemies may be the most obvious choices for combat, the player actually has a few other things at their disposal. Players can use their fists or the ground pound attack to clear out certain enemies easier. One enemy type will throw up a hardlight shield and attempt to ram the player. Players can punch this shield once it tries to ram them and stun the enemy in order to finish it off. Tanks can also be ground pounded to knock them in the air and stun them momentarily as well.
Iron Man VR: Use a Variety of Weapons
As far as weapons go players will have their repulsors on each hand as well as an auxiliary slot on each wrist. The repulsors should be familiar to anyone who knows anything about Iron Man, but auxiliary weapons might be new information. The first thing that players should do is equip a different weapon to each wrist to give them more options while in combat. Once this is done, they will want to become proficient at quickly swapping between repulsors and auxiliary weapons. This is integral to eliminating certain enemies as quickly as possible.
Iron Man VR: Boost to Dodge
By double-tapping the triggers, players can activate their afterburners and give themselves a speed boost while flying. This is a great way to get places at a faster pace, but the game doesn't tell players that it is also a great way to avoid damage. If an enemy fires a projectile or tries to ram the player, it is really simple to point the controllers in a specific location and double-tap to boost out of the way. Boosting like this can be used in any direction.
Iron Man VR: Don't Forget About the Unibeam
The unibeam is Iron Man's best method of dishing out damage in the game. This attack is capable of tearing through shields and decimating weaker enemies upon . Players will need to kill a certain amount of drones in order to charge it up, but once it's charged it can be fired at will. Players should make sure that they are in a safe place before firing though, and they should try and take out more difficult enemies with it first. Iron Man can still take damage from attacks while firing the unibeam and certain attacks can even knock the player wildly of course and cause them to waste valuable energy. Players should use this attack whenever they find themselves in a difficult position.
Iron Man VR: Keep Your Head on a Swivel
One of the most difficult things to get used to in the game is that enemies can swarm from all directions. This can be incredibly hard to handle sometimes, so this is why players should try their best to keep moving. Not only should players keep their thrusters activated, but should also rotate the camera around to watch their back. The last thing the player wants is to get snuck up on by their enemies.
