Hollow Knight: Silksong has been one of Steam's most highly awaited games for a long time. Since it was announced, fans of the series have been excited and eagerly awaiting news about its release. Silksong quickly became the most wishlisted game on Steam, holding the top spot and leaving fans in suspense. However, something unexpected has happened recently. Another game has now taken over, suring Silksong as the most wishlisted.
This is surprising because Silksong held its place at the top for so long. The game’s popularity and the success of its predecessor made it seem like it would remain number one for a while. Yet, despite all the hype, another title has managed to take its spot.
InZOI Is Now The Most Wishlisted Game On Steam
InZOI Has Sured The Long-Awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong
According to VGC on X (formerly Twitter), InZOI has now taken the top spot on Steam’s wishlist rankings, suring Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it's easy to see why. InZOI is shaping up to be a serious competitor to The Sims, a game that has ruled the life simulation genre for years. While The Sims has been the go-to choice for virtual life creation, InZOI is offering something new, attracting fans seeking a fresh experience.

I Can't Tell If InZOI Is Too Good To Be True, Or If The Sims Has Lowered My Expectations
InZOI has been hyped up as a Sims killer, but I can't tell if it's too good to be true, or if I just have low expectations after years with The Sims.
InZOI has a unique approach to life simulation. While The Sims lets players control every aspect of their characters’ lives, InZOI takes a more open-ended approach. It allows players to manage relationships, careers, and daily activities, but with more depth and complexity. InZOI also stands out because of its graphics and world-building. While The Sims has a more cartoonish look, InZOI offers realistic, detailed environments and characters that feel alive.
InZOI's gameplay mechanics are also something to write home about. Unlike The Sims, which focuses on free play and personal stories, InZOI gives players more structured goals and challenges. This can attract players who enjoy the life simulation genre but want more direction and objectives in their gameplay. Plus, the cost of $40 USD seems reasonable, and updates and DLCs before 1.0 will be free.
InZOI’s rise to the top of Steam’s wishlist shows its potential to challenge The Sims. With its unique features, detailed world, and deeper gameplay, InZOI is shaping up to be a strong rival in the life simulation genre.
Silksong Has Had A Nearly Historic Wait, But InZOI Is Coming Soon
InZOI Releases Soon, Yet Silksong Still Has No Release Date
The wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong has been one of the longest and most anticipated in gaming history. A sequel to the highly popular Metroidvania Hollow Knight, it was announced on February 14, 2019, and fans have eagerly awaited its release. Hollow Knight was a huge success, known for its beautiful world, tough gameplay, and deep story.

Hollow Knight: Silksong's Absurd New Release Theory Has Been Debunked, But It Still Deserves To Be A Switch 2 Launch Title
After long periods of waiting with no news, Silksong speculation gets wilder each year, with 2025 already starting with a new release rumor.
However, despite the excitement, Silksong still doesn't have a release date, though it's rumored it could be on its way soon. Fans have been left waiting for years with no clear timeline for when they can actually play it. This long delay has caused some frustration, especially since it was initially expected to come out much sooner.
On the other hand, InZOI is ready to release on March 27, 2025, and fans don’t have to wait as long. Unlike Silksong, InZOI has a set release date and has already shared demos that show off character and house designs. These demos give players a taste of what to expect, building excitement without keeping them in the dark. The game's early content has already grabbed attention and given people something to look forward to.
I am definitely among those looking forward to playing both games. I love Metroidvanias, and Hollow Knight was my first step into the genre, and I’m also a huge fan of life sims. Despite that, it is surprising to me that InZOI has beaten Silksong in the number of wishlists. While fans are still waiting for Hollow Knight: Silksong, InZOI is about to release and will be available to play soon.
