Battle Beast Left Earth In Search Of Strong Opponents In Invincible Season 1

And He Found Them In The Form Of Viltrumites

Battle Beast first appeared in Invincible season 1, with him having a very minor role. When he first appeared, Battle Beast was one of the many villains who was hired by Machine Head. Battle Beast began working for the crime lord under the promise that he would get to fight some of Earth's most powerful foes. During the Machine Head storyline, Battle Beast got to fight Invincible and some of the Guardians of the Globe, with him holding his own against the heroes fairly easily.

After fighting Invincible's Earth-based heroes, Battle Beast decided that his time working for Machine Head was done. Battle Beast was disappointed wtih the strength of Earth's heroes, with him not feeling like the heroes that he fought were worthy of his time. Thus, Battle Beast left Earth, with him saying that he felt he needed to go off-planet in order to find a worthy opponent. Battle Beast's story hasn't been updated since then, with him not being seen again until he breaks out of the Viltrumite prison in Invincible season 3, episode 4.

Battle Beast Was Captured By Either Viltrumites Or A Race Viltrum Conquered

Explaining Why He Is In Prison

How exactly Battle Beast got put in prison is not explained in Invincible season 3, but it isn't hard to fill in the gaps. Battle Beast's sole motivation is to take on the universe's ultimate warriors, so he was undoubtedly captured during combat. It is possible that Battle Beast got into a fight with another Viltrumite, explaining how he wound up in a Viltrumite prison. It is possible that Battle Beast was awaiting execution by the Viltrumites, with him escaping death by being freed by Allen the Alien. However, this isn't the only possibility.

It could be that Battle Beast wasn't captured by the Viltrumites at all. Instead, it is entirely possible that Battle Beast was captured by a different alien race. This alien race could have then been conquered by the Viltrumites, explaining how he wound up in a Viltrumite prison. Due to how few Viltrumites there are left, the Viltrumites have begun taking over other alien species. This has allowed them to grow their numbers and enforcement power, explaining why non-Viltrumite aliens act as the guards at the Viltrumite prison.

Battle Beast May Have Been Captured While Hunting Viltrumites

Leading To Battle Beast's Hatred Of Viltrumites

Although the theory about Battle Beast being overtaken by an alien species that was later conquered by Viltrumites could be true, it does seem more likely that he was captured while hunting Viltrumites. When Allen the Alien frees Battle Beast, the warrior seems eager to kill Viltrumites. He seems to have a vendetta against the alien species, something that isn't seen when he was on Earth in season 1.

Thus, it is likely that Battle Beast's hatred of the Viltrumites comes from him having lost a battle to one previously. He may see the prison breakout as an opportunity to get revenge, which he successfully does. It isn't known where Battle Beast winds up after Invincible season 3, episode 4, but fans of the character can't wait to see the next chapter in his Viltrumite hunting saga.
