Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Invincible comic book series and potential spoilers for Invincible season 3.

Invincible bringing back one of its most powerful characters indicates they will play a big part going forward.

Despite only featuring in a single episode so far, they have made a huge impression and non-comic readers will undoubtedly be curious to see their full potential. Considering how devastating their debut was, it's possible the character is even capable of killing Omni-Man if Invincible's story went in that direction, proving how strong they really are. Thankfully, despite it being over three-and-a-half-years since audiences last saw them, the fan-favorite will make their highly anticipated return in season 3, and if their impact is anything close to their season 1 appearance, viewers are in for an absolute treat.

Battle Beast Will Play A Role In Invincible Season 3

The Villain Appeared In Season 3's Trailer After His Return Was Confirmed By Robert Kirkman

After an incredibly long wait, Battle Beast will finally be back among Invincible's action, with the warrior featuring in season 3's trailer. He may have only appeared for a brief moment, but Robert Kirman confirmed Battle Beast and Titan's Invincible returns earlier this year, with the teaser providing further confirmation that they will be involved in the story. Given the villain was able to defeat Mark and the Guardians of the Globe almost single-handedly, there is no denying he is one of the most terrifying characters the series has shown so far, making his return a huge deal.

Invincible season 3 has already teased its main villains, as Anissa and General Kregg's season 2 roles suggested the main heroes will have a tough task dealing with the Viltrumites. However, Battle Beast adds another dynamic to the plot as he s an already stacked roster of antagonists. His impressive combat skills and durability look like they will be put to the test once again, but this time, not by Earth's main heroes. Instead, his conflict looks to take place elsewhere, as the short season 3 footage alongside the comics gives an idea of his next storyline.

What Could Happen With Battle Beast, Based On The Invincible Comics?

Battle Beast May Be Involved In Allen & Omni-Man's Attempt To Escape Imprisonment

Although the series has made a few tweaks to the source material, Prime Video's version of Invincible has closely followed the comics, indicating Battle Beast's role will link with Omni-Man's escape. In the comics, Battle Beast was captured on a planet conquered by the Viltrumites, meaning he could very well be a prisoner on the same ship as Allen and Omni-Man in the series. Battle Beast also reluctantly ed Allen's prison riot in the source material to fuel his thirst for war, and he even helped free Omni-Man before taking on a Viltrumite in battle.

Assuming the show adopts a similar story, Battle Beast may actually end up more of a hero than a villain in season 3, setting him up as an ally for the main characters further down the line.

After how brutal his introduction to the series was, audiences may have found it hard to believe he'd end up on the right side of the war, but Battle Beast even assisted the Coalition of Planets in the original story, meaning he will have an incredibly important future in the TV adaptation unless Invincible makes some big comic changes next season.

Invincible's Two Best Missing Characters Are Officially Confirmed For Season 3

Two of Invincible's best characters were completely absent during the second half of season 2, but they will officially be back when the show returns.

The small glimpse of Battle Beast in the season 3 trailer suggests this won't be the case though, as he looked like he was fighting the same sort of enemies Omni-man did while on board the Viltrumite ship, all but confirming he will be part of Nolan and Allen's story when the series returns.

How Strong Is Invincible's Battle Beast, Really?

Battle Beast Is Capable Of Killing Viltrumites

Battle Beast wiping the floor with the Guardians of the Globe and Mark in season 1 indicates he is extremely powerful, but is the character really that strong? Considering Mark was much weaker when he fought the villain than he was at the end of season 2 alongside the new Guardians of the Globe still being inexperienced, Battle Beast's victory may have seemed more impressive than it really was, but he shouldn't be underestimated. He hardly broke a sweat during the fight, highlighting that he still has plenty more to offer, and season 3 can prove his true fighting prowess.

Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley are working on a new Battle Beast comic.

He also managed to kill several Viltrumites in the comics, and given they are arguably the strongest species in the Invincible universe, his skills can't be overlooked. Some characters may be tougher than him, especially certain Viltrumites who are yet to be introduced to the TV adaptation, but Battle Beast is still among the most intimidating characters in the franchise and can even rival Omni-Man. Therefore, Battle Beast ranks towards the top of the list when it comes to Invincible's strongest characters, and season 3 feels like the perfect time to showcase his true potential against some tough opposition.

Invincible Season 3 Poster

Based on the comic book character by Robert Kirkman, Invincible follows Mark Grayson,  a seventeen-year-old who leads a seemingly average life save for the fact that he lives behind the shadow of his superhero father, Omni-Man. Mark goes on to develop superhuman abilities, but he must also learn that his father's legacy isn't as glitzy and glamorous as he's been led to believe.
