After several hints about the forthcoming arrival of Immortals Fenyx Rising's post-launch releases hit the airwaves in the weeks leading up to the open-world game's December 2020 launch.
Sometime after A New God arrives, the second DLC, Myths of the Eastern Realm, will become available with a different playable character in tow. The second batch of content should take players away from Ancient Greece to focus on a new realm centered around Chinese mythology. Meanwhile, the third and final DLC release, The Lost Gods, will return to the Greek world, though it, too, will debut another new hero for players to assume the role of.
In a recent news post on the official extra ability upgrades and a brand-new armor set. Apparently, the latter will boast "fantastic perks," including one that lets Fenyx pull off more jumps.
Despite sticking out as one of last year's biggest surprises, Immortals Fenyx Rising didn't make much of a splash on the market. Hopefully, the imminent release of new content will result in the title receiving another lease on life that gives it a second chance at stealing the spotlight.
Players who are already invested in the experience would do well to take advantage of Immortals' limited-time crossover event with Netflix's Blood of Zeus. The event went live last week, debuting a new quest that will close on January 28. However, the purchasable character and weapon packs will remain available even after the event ends. Yet another bit of recently released content that players may want to hop into is a free mission called, "The Quest." Developer Ubisoft Quebec added in the freebie upon rolling out Update 1.1.0, a patch that prepared Immortals for the incoming DLC.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is out now on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
