The Hulk Is Ready For His Highly Anticipated Rematch With Thor
Over the Years, Hulk and Thor Have Fought Each Other Countless Times
The Green Goliath and the God of Thunder are widely considered to be two of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, and for good reason. Their overwhelming strength - from Hulk's gamma-powered transformations to Thor's proficiency with channeling lightning - has cemented them both as major powerhouses, so it only makes sense that they've been pitted against each other as many times as they have. They engaged in their first major battle in 1952's Journey Into Mystery #112 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, which established the rivalry that defined their dynamic from then on - despite their shared allegiance to the Avengers.

In 2024, Thor Revealed the Devious Way He Can Kill the Hulk: Read
2024's epic Thor vs Hulk fight revealed that the God of Thunder has a secret tactic to take down the Green Goliath - but only by killing him.
Since that fateful first skirmish, Hulk and Thor have crossed fists plenty of times, within Marvel's primary continuity as well as alternate realities, and they've both demonstrated how formidable they are. Right now, Hulk has never been more ready to exchange blows with the Son of Odin. Throughout Johnson and Klein's groundbreaking run, he's unlocked various Thor has increased his own power with boosts from other gods. Fans of both characters can look forward to the biggest fight of 2025 as the Hulk and Thor prepare to settle which of them is stronger once and for all.
The Incredible Hulk vs. Thor: Which Avenger Will Claim Victory?
Thor Has Found a Way to Kill Hulk, But Hulk Has His Own Advantages
These two Marvel powerhouses have gone toe to toe enough times that they've each claimed victory over the other. Most recently, Thor shocked readers in Avengers Twilight #6 by Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña, in which he trapped Hulk beneath Mjolnir at the bottom of the ocean and caused him to drown. This method of defeating the Hulk is definitely extreme, hence why it's been limited to an alternate future, so it isn't likely that it'll be employed within Marvel's main continuity. Moreover, the Hulk's gamma powers give him the competitive edge he needs to make his rematch with Thor a fight where anyone could win.
