A series of quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has players reach a place called the Abandoned Hebra Mine to face off against the powerful Master Kohga boss. This location is far off the beaten path and may confuse players trying to find it. Thankfully, a helpful NPC stands on the outskirts of a familiar village and provides a bit of help in this search, giving players the right advice to get into this elusive area.

The Abandoned Hebra Mine ties to the conclusion of the "Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan" side quest that players have pursued to two other locations. Unfortunately, these areas are tied to The Depths, a dangerous region in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that hosts many powerful enemies. Therefore, even before getting to the Hebra Mine, players should try to have items or gear that resist the Gloom condition, one of the major obstacles when exploring this place.

How To Find The Abandoned Hebra Mine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The location of the Abandoned Hebra Mine is close to Rito Village, directly south of the main Hebra Mountains toward the northwest section of the map. From the Village, players can go south again until they reach a small area called Rito Village Chasm, a large gorge with a long bridge crossing over a gap. Close to coordinates (-3601, 1763, 0147) in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, this is the starting point for finding the Mine.

There are many cliff faces surrounding the southern area of Rito Village in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but players will want to look for the NPC Ponnick hanging out on the edge of these rock formations. Next to a landed hot air balloon, Ponnick will show players a cave leading to The Depths right off one of the Chasm's cliffs. Using the paraglider to travel into the cave gets players close to where the Mine resides.

Once they are down in The Depths, players should activate the Sikatag Lightroot nearby to create a fast travel point for an easy exit out of the Mine. The Hebra Mine can be found easily in this space, giving players a final battleground against Master Kohga. Players are advised to bring fused weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom strong enough to contend with this boss before traveling through the Chasm cave.

Learning how to reach the Abandoned Hebra Mine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gives players a chance to earn excellent materials from the boss fight, including a Diamond, Rocket Platform Schema Stone, and a Huge Crystallized Charge to upgrade their Energy Cells.
