A new horror anthology is coming from latest Archie Horror comic, kicking off the imprint's season of chills and thrills. Fans will get to begin their creep fests early, with this title coming just before Fall begins.

Jinx Holliday made her debut in 1947 and she has appeared sporadically in different Archie comics ever since. She was also the heroine of her own series, Li'l Jinx, and returned in graphic novels back in 2012 and 2013. More recently, in the 2019 miniseries, Jughead the Hunger vs. Vampironica, she made her way into the horror canon of Archie Comics, becoming the daughter of Satan. Now she will be given a new role in this anthology.

Teen Jinx Holliday is Riverdale's go-to babysitter. The (often unruly) kids that she watches over always change, seemingly for the better. The key to her success? Her book of unique fairy tales, all of which tell a moralistic story - usually grim, gruesome ones that frighten the children with Jinx as the star of each and every one. What sinister, I mean, serious lessons will she teach her wards?

This anthology will be another chance for Jinx to shine. She hasn't had as much page time as some of the iconic characters in Archie Comics, like the titular Archie Andrews or Sabrina the Teenage Witch. However, she could very well become a mainstay in the Archie Horror imprint considering the success previous comics have had. Sabrina found new life with the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina following her revival in Afterlife with Archieand this anthology is a Chilling Adventures Presents... title that will kick off a new horror season.

Regarding Jinx, Archie Comics senior editor, Jamie L. Rotante, says:

Jinx is a character we've been wanting to explore more and we're so excited we finally get the chance to... and what better way than having her as the cool babysitter who scares kids with creepy stories? I mean, her name is JINX, how perfect is that? We were so happy we were able to blend the framework of spooky fairy tales and Jinx as our eager narrator and protagonist.

While Archie Comics' output is known for fun, slice of life comedy, its horror line takes spooky tales seriously, with no iconic character safe. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was a genuine horror rebirth for a beloved character, and it seems that trend will continue with Jinx's Grim Fairy Tales, with Archie Comics giving yet another classic character a new life.
