Memosprites are part of the long-rumored summon mechanic that had been leaked months ago. Contrary to other summons in the game, such as Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord, Topaz’s Numby, or Lingsha’s Fuyuan, memosprites are a different category of summon. These creatures operate as a fifth playable character on the player’s field and, as such, have their own HP bars and can be targeted by enemy attacks or the team comp’s buffs. Each Remembrance character will be able to create their own memosprite in Honkai: Star Rail, and each memosprite will have its own tool kit in battle.

The leaks about the Remembrance Trailblazer, for example, indicate that their memosprite (allegedly called Mimi) will be able to deal Ice DMG to opponents, but that its main gist is accumulating Energy to then Bless a targeted ally and allow them to take action immediately. The leaks also state that the Blessed ally can deal extra damage to targets, which hints at Mimi serving as an offensive for party . Alternatively, Aglaea’s leaked kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 shows that she summons the memosprite Garmentmaker onto the field. Contrary to Mimi, Garmentmaker’s focus is dealing damage.

According to the leaks, Garmentmaker can strike enemies alongside Aglaea and inflict a debuff on them. This memosprite is also rumored to have a SPD bonus accumulation mechanic, which then transfers to Aglaea, increasing her own damage output. Based on the leaks, it seems like Garmentmaker will be more of a way of having Aglaea boost her damage as a rumored DPS unit. According to the memosprite leaks for Honkai: Star Rail 3.0, memosprites are considered both summons and allies, which should impact how party target them. For example, Aventurine’s team comp shield should also encom memosprites.

On the other hand, the action advance effects triggered by characters like Sparkle and Bronya should allow players to target one memosprite or a character. Because they are summons, however, Sunday’s action advance mechanic will be able to target both the main character, such as Aglaea, and their memospite, Garmentmaker. The way memosprites interact with other existing and characters remains to be seen as the game progresses into Version 3.0 and beyond, especially with the release of new characters in Honkai: Star Rail’s third year of content.

Based on the leaks, the Remembrance Trailblazer is expected to be a unit that helps the main DPS to act more times and even entered a slightly empowered state via the rumored Blessing mechanic in Honkai: Star Rail.

Alternatively, Aglaea is expected to operate as the team’s main DPS unit thanks to her rumored damage output potential. Rumors even indicate that the Remembrance Trailblazer could be a for Aglaea.
