While a batch of new items in the battle is promising, as these items are likely new Light Cones, the rumors about a new weekly boss challenge are extremely enticing. The last weekly boss to be introduced was Shadow of Feixiao in the Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield. This boss challenge was added with the Version 2.5 update last year. This means that the game has gone through five patches without a new activity of this type and, therefore, without any new weekly boss materials in Honkai: Star Rail, but that may change with Version 3.3.

With a cap on how many of the material drops per boss fight, if players are aiming for multiple of these characters who potentially use the item, they will have to spend subsequent weeks only facing this boss fight.
