The first few leaks about Cipher’s gameplay kit in Hyacine in Honkai: Star Rail.

The leaks about Version 3.3 so far had been fairly scarce, as the turn-based RPG is currently in Version 3.1 and the beta tests are revolving around Version 3.2. With the game encroaching onto Version 3.2, however, a bit more information about Version 3.3 is starting to arise, and that should start getting even more intense with the beta tests. Even before that, however, there have been new leaks about Cipher in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3, providing an early sketch of her gameplay and confirming some information that had previously been shared while debunking other rumors about the Quantum character.

Cipher Will Be Released In Honkai: Star Rail 3.3

Both Her & Hyacine Have Been Confirmed By HoYoverse

Until now, it had been a bit uncertain if Cipher would be released in Version 3.3 or if the developer would surprise players with a different release order for the Chrysos Heirs – after all, Phainon, Hysilens, and Cerydra have yet to become playable, so there was still a chance that they would have taken priority over the character with feline features. However, ahead of the Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 livestream, HoYoverse shared posts on the game’s official on X (formerly Twitter) highlighting Cipher and revealing some information about her, like her rating, element, and the Path she follows.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: New Quality-Of-Life Update Should Improve Relic Farming (But Not In The Way You'd Expect)

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 may bring a new quality-of-life update that will likely make farming Relics and Ornaments a lot smoother than usual.

Also known as Cifera, the Quantum character is one of two units that have been teased for Version 3.3. The other is the aforementioned Hyacine. Confirmed to be a 5-star Wind character on the Path of the Remembrance, Hyacine’s official reveal confirms the previous leaks about her rarity, element, and Path, and it strengthens the leaks about her gameplay kit revolving around providing healing for the team, possibly based on the team’s HP loss. This has yet to be confirmed by more reliable leaks or even HoYoverse, but Hyacine may make a great pair with Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail.

Cipher's Entire Kit For Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Has Leaked

The Character Will Likely Operate As A Sub-DPS &

Honkai Star Rail's Cifera stands obscured in the distance.

Just before her official reveal by HoYoverse, Cipher’s entire gameplay kit had been leaked, highlighting all of her active abilities, her ive Talent and Traces, and even her six Eidolon levels. The details are still somewhat incomplete, especially when it comes to stats, but the rough sketch of how Cipher will work in combat is completely understandable. According to information provided by the leaker known as Seele Leaks, who accurately predicted she is a Quantum Nihilty character, Cipher will scale off her ATK stat in Honkai: Star Rail. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit.

As seen in the leak, Cipher’s Basic Attack should only deal Quantum DMG to a single enemy based on her ATK. Her Skill, however, is said to inflict a status called Foretold on the target enemy and then deal Quantum DMG to the target and adjacent enemies. The leak also highlights Cipher’s Ultimate. The ability allegedly deals Quantum DMG to a single target, then deals True DMG equal to the recorded value of Wealth Bond, distributed among the target and adjacent enemies. It then clears Wealth Bond’s value and resets the number of follow-up attacks triggered by Foretold.

Both Wealth Bond and Foretold are directly linked to Cipher’s Talent.

According to the leak about the Amphoreus character in Honkai: Star Rail, Cipher’s Talent will see her inflict Foretold on a random enemy if none has it at the start of any ally’s turn or action, prioritizing the one with the highest HP. When an opponent with Foretold receives DMG from any ally, Cipher enters the Wealth Bond state, recording a percentage of the total DMG taken by the enemy (excluding True DMG). Furthermore, when an ally attacks an opponent with Foretold, Cipher launches a follow-up attack, dealing Quantum DMG.

Cipher’s ive Traces have also been leaked. Her first leaked ive Trace says that when Cipher is on the field, all enemies’ DEF is reduced. Her second leaked ive Trace forces Wealth Bond to record an additional percentage of the total DMG taken by adjacent targets of the enemy with Foretold. Lastly, the third ive Trace is said to increase Cipher’s follow-up attack DMG. Furthermore, the recording rate of Wealth Bond is enhanced by Cipher’s CRIT Rate in Honkai: Star Rail but is capped at a certain percentage.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: New Material Teases The Release Of Anticipated Character

A new material has been leaked during the Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 beta tests and it may hint at the release of an anticipated character.

According to the leak, Cipher’s Technique has her enter the Stealth mode, increasing her movement speed and automatically collecting Treasure Chests when ing by them. Upon entering battle, she deals DMG to all enemies and records a portion of this DMG for the Wealth Bond mechanic. These are the core mechanics of Cipher at E0 (Eidolon level 0), but all her Eidolons have also leaked. Her E1, for example, is said to record an extra percentage of the DMG taken by the enemy with Foretold, and when she attacks a target, it increases the DMG they take for some turns.

Her leaked E2 increases Cipher’s follow-up attack DMG, and after she launches one of them, she restores Energy. Her E4 has Cipher deal an extra instance of Quantum Additional DMG to a target and adjacent enemies after an ally attacks the opponent with Foretold. Lastly, Cipher’s leaked E6 increases the DMG she deals in Honkai: Star Rail. After using her Ultimate, Cipher regains a portion of the last recorded Wealth Bond value, which should make her rotation more agile.

Cipher's Leaked Light Cone Reinforces A Valuable Gameplay Mechanic In Honkai: Star Rail

The Weapon Allegedly Plays Into Cipher’s ive Trace

Honkai Star Rail's Cifera moves like a feline.

In addition to her gameplay kit, the leak also highlights Cipher’s leaked signature Light Cone. As seen in the leak, the weapon will increase the ’s CRIT Rate and when they use a Skill to deal damage, the DEF of the target enemy is reduced. Additionally, if the Skill triggers a CRIT Hit, the enemy’s DEF is further reduced, lasting for a few turns. This plays right into Cipher’s leaked first ive Trace, which also reduces enemies’ DEF.

Furthermore, the extra CRIT Rate helps fuel the recording rate of Cipher’s Wealth Bond thanks to her third ive Trace, which is said to scale on her CRIT Rate.

Combining the information about her kit and her Light Cone, it seems like Cipher’s main role in parties will be split between acting as a sub-DPS and a in Honkai: Star Rail. Because of how the Light Cone singles out the DEF shred, it should play an important role in her kit, even if it seems like a secondary bonus provided by one of her ives. Surely, it doesn’t do much during her rotation, but it may establish her as a great for other units.

Cipher may even prove to be a good for Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail, for instance, thanks to her status as a Nihility character and the ability to debuff enemies with the Foretold status. More details about Cipher’s kit should arise with the start of the Version 3.3 beta tests, including more specific stats about how much of her ATK is translated into her DMG and how long certain debuffs last, for example. For now, the leaks should be considered with caution, as they are highly subject to change during the Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 beta tests.
