A new leak from Tribbie and Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail, two characters who may prove to be indispensable in the year.

Even though the game is in Version 3.1, much attention is shifting toward Version 3.2 thanks to the beta tests and their subsequent leaks. These leaks have already revealed a lot of information about the two confirmed new playable characters, Anaxa and Castorice, such as their materials and their gameplay kits. There have also been rumors about the rerun banners in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 and, as such, information about what players may expect in of returning characters. Now, more information about the patch has been shared, and it may be teasing a future character release.

A New Material Has Been Leaked In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2’s Beta Tests

The Rumored Material May Serve New Physical Characters

According to new information provided by the leaker known as Sakura Haven, a new material for Physical characters was spotted in the Version 3.2 beta tests and should be released soon. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. As stated by the leaker, these materials are still unused in the tests, and they use reference icons and descriptions from older materials, likely as placeholders. Materials related to elements in Honkai: Star Rail tend to be obtainable from Stagnant Shadow activities, which is likely the case.

As such, this new leaked Physical material is expected to be locked behind this type of activity once it is released; to farm it, players will need to complete the challenge. As seen in the leak, the rumored Physical material does not have a name yet nor is it known who it will serve, as there are currently no new Physical characters in the game. However, as pointed out by the leaker, this seems to confirm the previous rumors that there will be a new Physical unit in Versions 3.3 or 3.4

Cipher Could Also Use The Rumored Material

The leaks have indicated that one of the Physical characters is Phainon in Honkai: Star Rail. The Chrysos Heir who has been presented as an ally to the Traveler in Amphoreus is expected to be released in one of the patches and the leaks have stated that he is a Physical unit; the leaked Physical materials could very well be one of his Ascension materials. There’s also a possibility that the material will serve Cipher since there is speculation she may be a Physical unit, but the leaks around Phainon’s element are a bit more concrete than Cipher’s.

If this is true, players could expect a new Physical character, possibly Phainon, within the next two updates of the turn-based RPG. However, as is the case with any leak, these ones should be considered with caution, as the information may be incorrect, incomplete, or subject to change. Nevertheless, as Phainon’s role in the story gets more important, his release seems closer than ever, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if he were released in Version 3.3 or Version 3.4 along with the leaked Physical material in Honkai: Star Rail.
