There has been a change to the character banner lineup in Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail as a playable character, as the Chrysos Heir has been an NPC since Version 3.0.
Even though there are still a few weeks before the arrival of Version 3.2, a lot of leaks about its contents have already been shared because of the beta tests. This includes details about both Castorice and Anaxa’s gameplay kits and even a report about a broken ability in Castorice’s toolkit. The leaks also show a possible change to the level structure for Basic Attacks, as well as how players may never have access to certain character rerun banners again. Now, a new leak highlights a few possible changes to the previously leaked character banners in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.2's Leaked Banners Suffered Some Changes
Aventurine’s Rerun Is Rumored To Have Been Removed
The initial leaks stated that the Phase 1 banners would be composed of Castorice’s debut alongside a triple rerun featuring Dr. Ratio, Acheron, and Jiaoqiu, with Pela, Lynx, and Gallagher having increased pull rates. The Phase 2 banners were reported to feature Anaxa’s debut with an Aventurine rerun, while Dan Heng, Serval, and Moze would have increased pull rates. Now, it seems like this lineup has suffered a few changes, according to information provided by the leaker known as Sakura Haven. The updated banner leak for Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Reruns May Never Occur Again With New Character Banner System Changes
A massive set of changes may occur to character banners starting in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, possibly excluding reruns permanently from the game.
According to the leak, Dr. Ratio’s rerun banner in Phase 1 banners was replaced by Fugue’s first rerun. Meanwhile, Aventurine’s rumored rerun banner in Version 3.2’s Phase 2 was discarded entirely, giving space to Dr. Ratio’s long-awaited rerun. As such, the only practical change that occurred was the replacement of Aventurine for Fugue. Dr. Ratio is still rumored to rerun in the patch, though his banner has allegedly been pushed in Phase 2 banners. If the leaks prove to be true, this update will represent the first rerun for both Fugue and Dr. Ratio in Honkai: Star Rail.
Aventurine's Leaked Removal From Reruns In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Is Disappointing
The Character Is, Essentially, Being Replaced By Fugue
The change to the leaked banner structure is somewhat disappointing, mainly due to the fact that Aventurine is easily the best shielder and the game and players will not have a chance to obtain him or upgrade his Eidolon levels. Aventurine is a 5-star Imaginary character on the Path of the Preservation and one of the most reliable shielders thanks to his ability to heavily protect his entire team and even contribute to the team’s damage output. He is largely regarded as one of the best sustain characters in Honkai: Star Rail, which makes his rumored rerun removal so upsetting.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Leaks Tease A Major Free Reward Upgrade
Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 may celebrate the game’s anniversary with an extra number of free rewards if the leaks about the patch are accurate.
However, there is a string of reasonable explanations that may make his removal not only justifiable but agreeable. The first is that Aventurine has been in rerun banners fairly recently. His one and last rerun occurred in Version 2.6, between mid-November 2023 and December 2024. Moreover, Fugue has not yet been featured in any rerun banners since her debut. Fugue has only appeared once in banners, during her debut in Version 2.7 in early December. Surely, she appeared more recently than Aventurine, but players haven’t been given the opportunity to obtain Fugue in Honkai: Star Rail a second time around.
It’s logical that Fugue would rerun again soon. While she is not as good as Aventurine, Fugue is still a stellar unit for Break DMG and Super Break DMG team comps, possibly operating as a alternative to the Harmony Trailblazer – which players may currently be using in their Remembrance form. As such, players could have a second shot at prolonging the usage of their Super Break DMG team comps without having to give up on using the Remembrance Trailblazer; this is especially true in activities that run two team comps like Apocalyptic Shadow in Honkai: Star Rail.
In certain endgame activities, players may be required to use two teams. Players could build a Super Break DMG team with the Harmony Trailblazer for the first boss, for example, but would then be unable to use the Remembrance Trailblazer for the second boss – that’s where Fugue comes in.
Aventurine’s removal from the leaked banners also seems to have some gameplay logic to it. This is because the game is pushing a hard HP meta based on HP loss and HP drain. The Mydei will be centered around consuming his high Max HP scores to deal even more damage to enemies, while the leaks about Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail indicate that she will drain the HP of all her allies in exchange for an immense amount of damage output via her dragon memosprite. Even Tribbie has a high Max HP, which could contribute to Castorice’s performance.
With HP loss playing such an important role, Aventurine is not an ideal candidate for these team comps. He could prevent incoming enemy damage, but his allies would have a hard time recovering the HP that is lost by inert character mechanics, thus keeping them unsafe. The HP-centered meta does not justify Fugue’s rerun directly, but the decision to change the leaked banner structure could be a sum of the various factors, involving her needed rerun and how Aventurine doesn’t fit the HP loss meta in Honkai: Star Rail.
Dr. Ratio's Leaked Rerun In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Seems Unreal
The Character Has Been Unobtainble For Over A Year
The most positive aspect of the rumored changes to the banners is that Dr. Ratio is still finally going to rerun. As I read through the initial portion of the leak, I thought the 5-star Hunt character’s rerun had been discarded, but was soon relieved to see he was only pushed into Phase 2. For context, Dr. Ratio has only appeared in banners once, during Version 1.6’s Phase 2 banners. He was also given out for free between Version 1.6 and the end of Version 2.1, but has been unobtainable in Honkai: Star Rail ever since.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Castorice Is Set To Have The Most Broken Ability Ever (& It's A Huge Problem For Future Characters)
There have been new leaks about Castorice’s abilities in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 and of them seems to hint at what is likely the most broken skill yet.
Even though Dr. Ratio is not among the best DPS characters in the game, the fact that he has been locked for players since the end of his free giveaway period is concerning. In fact, it’s been a recurring issue that gradually aggravates with every new patch without a Dr. Ratio rerun. After so much time away from the game, it feels nearly unreal that Dr. Ratio is finally going to appear in rerun banners. The leaks should still be taken with caution, but the hopes for his rerun in Honkai: Star Rail have never been higher than now.
