Some witches and wizards might be understandably hesitant to offend other characters lest they permanently harm their in-game relationships, barring future dialogue and side quest opportunities. This is often the case in RPGs, and so choosing whether to ask for more money in Hogwarts Legacy after a side quest can put players in an uncomfortable spot.

After all, earning Galleons in Hogwarts Legacy is crucial to fully enjoying the experience. The cost of gear, brooms, potions (and potion ingredients), Room of Requirement Conjuration Spellcrafts, and more start to add up quite quickly, and so players with empty pockets might not be in for as magical of a time. There are ways to make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy, but it might not be immediately obvious whether asking NPCs for more money is one of them, or if it's even worth the social risk.

As it turns out, it's always worth asking for more money after quests in Hogwarts Legacy. In fact, there's little to no consequence in doing so. Some NPCs might express their frustration with the player, but virtually everyone will give in and grant them a few extra Galleons for their troubles. Choosing to do this won't even affect character relationships; merchants and vendors, for example, will still sell their wares to the student and retain the same dialogue options, regardless of whether they asked for extra rewards after a quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy Doesn't Have A Morality System

In general, players shouldn't feel the need to tread lightly during their wizarding world adventures, as there's no morality system in Hogwarts Legacy. Choosing to be rude or selfish - whether it's motivated by monetary gain or not - will have minimal effects on gameplay. In fact, not even choosing Hogwarts Legacy's dark wizard path will impact dialogue options, change relationships with characters, or provide them with a unique ending. Knowing that even the Unforgivable Curses don't come with strings attached, it's always worth demanding an additional reward in Hogwarts Legacy.

If students are willing to set aside their conscience (at least temporarily), they'll find that their selfishness is actually rewarded quite handsomely. Extorting NPCs for extra rewards seemingly isn't one of the choices that matter in Hogwarts Legacy, and so even the kindest of Hufflepuffs or most morally-upright of Gryffindors might be tempted to weasel their way into some additional riches. It's a shame that evil actions don't have a larger impact on gameplay and story, but at the same time, it's reassuring to know that asking for more money in Hogwarts Legacy is an effective, foolproof way to gain an extra few Galleons.
