Even outside of Squid Game, 2025 has been a major year for Netflix's Korean content. Earlier this year, the platform announced the development of 29 Korean-language titles, spanning both film and television. Some came from major directors such as Train to Busan's Yeon Sang-ho, who put out the film Revelations in March of this year. Now, K-drama is showing its success again as two new titles make it onto the streaming charts.
Heavenly Ever After and The Haunted Palace The Netflix Top 10
Both Have Romance Elements
Heavenly Ever After and The Haunted Palace have been added to the streaming charts this week. Heavenly Ever After is a romantic comedy series about a woman who enters Heaven after ing away at the age of 80 and reunites with her husband, who appears as a 30-year-old version of himself. The show features Kim Hye-ja, Son Suk-ku, Yuuki Luna, and Han Ji-min in the lead roles. The Haunted Palace is a fantasy romance series that released its first episodes at the end of April.

Per Netflix, The Haunted Palace and Heavenly Ever After have now entered the streaming charts. Both series made it into the global top 10 for non-English language series for the week that spanned April 21 to April 27. The Haunted Palace took the no. 9 slot, getting 1.4 million views. Heavenly Ever After was higher up on the list, getting to no. 5 with 2.9 million views. Both shows were in the top 10 in South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, among other countries.
What This Means For Netflix K-Drama
The K-Drama Reign Continues
While these two titles are the only new ones to make the list, Netflix's global top 10 for non-English-language shows is filled with K-dramas. Other K-dramas making the top 10 this week included Weak Hero: Class 2, Resident Playbook, When Life Gives You Tangerines, and Weak Hero: Class 1. As such, this meant that over half of this week's top 10 for non-English-language shows were K-dramas, showing just how much Korean content is influencing Netflix.
