One former Harry Potter movies began in 2001, starting with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The series came to become a multi-billion dollar entity, becoming one of the most successful film series of all time. In the years following the movies' completion, HBO announced the development of a Harry Potter TV series. The show will feature an entirely new cast, allowing for fresh portrayals of its characters.
Per People, Harry Potter alum Bonnie Wright offers advice to whoever will play the next Ginny. Wright sees the show's creation as a great chance for exciting reinterpretations of the characters that give them "new life." She hopes that the new Ginny actor will "do what they wanna do and make their character who they envision Ginny to be." Her main advice to the yet unnamed new cast member is to "be present in the moment" and "enjoy every minute of it." Check out the full quote from Wright below:
I think every actor stepping into all the roles, I hope, really go from the book and they take their interpretation of the characters from the book as the original source of material. And I just hope that they do what they wanna do and they make their character who they envision Ginny to be.
And I think that's what's cool. that other people can give her character and all the others new life. So I don't think I would … I guess the only thing I would say is like, be present in the moment.
Enjoy every minute of it, would be the only thing I would say.
What This Means For The Harry Potter TV Series
They Have Cast Some Leads
Ginny is not one of the characters that has been cast so far in the Harry Potter show. At the time of writing, HBO has cast their Albus Dumbledore, Hagrid, Severus Snape, Arus Filch, McGonagall, and Quirinus Quirrell. Those roles will be played by John Lithgow, Nick Frost, Paapa Essiedu, Paul Whitehouse, Janet McTeer, and Luke Thallon, respectively. The series has yet to cast any of its younger actors to play the Hogwarts students. Whereas these adult actors are mostly known entities, the young cast is more likely to include some new names.

John Lithgow's 10 Best Movies And TV Shows
John Lithgow has shined in movies and TV shows for decades, playing everything from a serial killer to a loving family man.
Wright's take on the Harry Potter casting is a refreshing one, given the responses thus far. Some did not take kindly to Lithgow's casting as Dumbledore, longing for a British actor to play the sage wizard. While Lithgow himself has talked back to the absurdity of this complaint, as the American actor has done a British accent before and can again, this has not stopped avid fans from scrutinizing the series cast. Wright, on the other hand, seems to see casting as a great opportunity.
Our Take On Bonnie Wright's Harry Potter Advice
Harry Potter Has Been Going In A Different Direction Casting-Wise Already
The new Harry Potter cast will be under a lot of pressure, so it makes sense to guide people to live in the moment. Based on the casting so far, it seems like the TV series will likely go in a different direction from the show when it comes to casting its leads. Essiedu, for example, is Black, and is much younger than Alan Rickman was when he made his Snape debut. It seems likely that the younger cast may also be more diverse than the white-dominated original movies, which could bring Harry Potter both backlash and praise.
