PC players of Grand Theft Auto Online are now able to unlock HSW upgrades for their vehicles and even earn the free Karin S95 car from the game's Enhanced Edition. New DLC allows you to obtain one of the fastest vehicles in San Andreas and improve your strongest cars with upgrades. However, you have to earn both the free car and upgrades by participating in a unique mission.
Many sports cars are listed as HSW compatible, meaning they can receive upgrades for better performance. Upgrading different vehicles will improve their speed and handling, making them more reliable on the road for races or escaping dangerous areas. While there are some free vehicles in GTA Online designed for certain tasks, the one that comes from the HSW shop also prioritizes style with its speed.

How To Unlock Hao's Special Works Time Trial
Test Drive A Car In An Exhibition Race
Both the free Karin S95 and any HSW upgrades are tied to Hao's Special Works, a body shop in San Andreas. This business challenges players with weekly Time Trials you can participate in to earn rewards. The multiple bonuses from reaching good times on any trial is a great way to make money in GTA Online, especially alongside other new content in the Enhanced Edition for PC.
PlayStation and Xbox players of GTA Online may easily recognize Hao's time trials, as the content of the Enhanced Edition for PC includes the HSW features that have been on consoles for around three years.
The only way to unlock Hao's Special Works Time Trials is to visit Hao's Lockup in Downtown Vinewood, where you can find Hao's personal vehicle. This Grotti Turismo Classic can be taken from its garage with Hao's permission to take it on a test run. From here, you are immediately put into a Time Trial where you try to complete a racecourse and beat Hao's time.

GTA Online Finally Makes Game-Changing Fix & The Community Is Rejoicing
Grand Theft Auto: Online players rejoice because Rockstar has finally implemented a system that should significantly reduce the amount of cheaters.
No matter what happens during this Time Trial, completing the trial will earn you a free HSW upgrade, which can be applied to an appropriate vehicle. Many of the vehicles that can earn an HSW upgrade are ones added to GTA Online's Enhanced Edition, so make sure a vehicle is compatible to give it a performance boost.
How To Get The Free Karin S95
Beat Hao's Time For A Free Car
You get the Karin S95 car for free if you beat Hao's time during the Time Trial with his Grotti Turismo Classic vehicle. Hao's time throughout the course is 8 minutes and 15 seconds, which may take multiple attempts to beat. Thankfully, you have an unlimited number of tries to overcome Hao's time, so keep at it until you win.
Once you win the Time Trial, you can visit the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website and search for the Karin S95. This car normally costs $1,995,000, but it will be marked as "FREE" with the price struck through after the successful Trial. Simply buy the car and add it to your vehicle collection to call upon it at any time.
Some players have noted that there is a prominent bug that causes the purchase of a free Karin S95 to still charge their in-game around $2,000,000. If this happens to you, Rockstar to receive a refund of GTA $ equal to what was taken away.
The Karin S95 is an extremely fast sports car that is perfect to use in future HSW Time Trials and other races in the game. Those with an increased stat in GTA Online for their character's Driving will get even more use out of this car, especially in missions that rely on a vehicle's speed.
How To Use HSW Upgrades
Improve Stats Through Various Added Parts
Participating in the first Hao's Time Trial will earn you a free HSW upgrade, which can add parts to a car to give it higher stats. Certain HSW upgrades could bolster a vehicle's Top Speed, give it better Acceleration, or control its Traction for greater control. There are a wide variety of upgrades and parts you can get for an HSW car, but each one after the first free improvement costs varying amounts of cash.
HSW upgrades are applied when you visit the LS Car Meet in San Andreas, where multiple performance enhancements are available. From this location, you can also do more Time Trials or participate in races for money, which will help you pay for more upgrades. Anyone with a stable business in GTA Online may have the income to purchase several HSW upgrades right away.
