A new YouTube video has broken down the recently leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 footage, revealing a number of potential Easter eggs in GTA 6 - including a shout-out to the demonic clown Pennywise from It. After years of hope and speculation, Rockstar Games finally confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 was in development earlier this year. However, the developer soon made headlines for an entirely different reason after a hacker leaked no less than 90 GTA 6 videos in September.

This massive Grand Theft Auto 6 leak sent shockwaves throughout the internet and gaming industry, as publisher Take-Two Interactive quickly began ordering takedowns of the footage on designated GTA fan forums. Rockstar itself condemned the leak, but assuaged fears that it would impact development on GTA 6 after source code was allegedly stolen in the same breach. Regardless, fans have been pouring over the leaked footage since it emerged the previous weekend. Said leaks seemingly confirmed earlier reports that GTA 6 would have a Vice City setting and female protagonist, with the footage referencing the Miami stand-in and showcasing two playable charactars - a man called Jason, and a woman called Lucia. Aside from story details, these GTA 6 leaks also revealed weapon and combat gameplay, intimating where Grand Theft Auto has taken from Rockstar's last project, Red Dead Redemption 2.

Eagle-eyed YouTuber GTA 6’s new side missions will reportedly take players to a satanic house and haunted warehouse. For those looking for a less spooky time, players will apparently be able to find another warehouse filled with sex robots that they can interact with. Strange Man's video also discusses a side mission that involves the player investigating a serial killer who targets strippers, as well as a mystery surrounding a pair of Bonnie and Clyde-type criminals. Another GTA 6 mission seems to involve Grand Theft Auto Online’s narcotics trafficker El Rubio - who isn’t above tossing an enemy into a pen with a live cougar at his “big cat mansion.” Undoubtedly the most intriguing inclusion, though is the presence of a creepy voice that comes from the sewers, which Strange Man surmises could be a nod to the infamous Pennywise from Stephen King's It.

GTA 6 Missions May Feature Callbacks To Past Grand Theft Auto Games

The Grand Theft Auto series is no stranger to nods to pop culture - or references to its own games. GTA has Red Dead Redemption Easter eggs, and vice versa. Many of these hidden details had fans guessing about the impending GTA 6, such as a secret reference to Vice City in GTA Online. Others hint at a shared continuity between the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption games, with Bigfoot appearing in side missions and RDR2's time traveler seemingly being connected to GTA's Epsilon Program.

It looks like this tradition will continue in Grand Theft Auto 6, with the recent leaks hinting at Bigfoot, UFOs, sex robots, ghosts, and even a Pennywise reference waiting for players. Though the circumstances of this new information are unfortunate for Grand Theft Auto 6’s developers and fans, it’s still fun to see devoted players uncover hidden details and shoutouts tucked within Rockstar’s next open-world crime blockbuster.
