Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) has taken on all sorts of monsters in fights throughout powerful monsters in Grimm, and Nick takes on all comers.
As a Grimm, Nick has access to superhuman powers that give him a fighting chance against the powerful monsters and creatures in the world. He's also skilled in martial arts and is an expert with a variety of different weapons, including rare and unusual ones. His most powerful asset, though, is his ingenuity and scrappiness in a fight. Even when it seems like he has the odds stacked against him, Nick finds a way out, impressing the audience along the way. His fights against monsters let him use his abilities to the fullest, and are always an exciting watch.
5 Nick Vs. Krampus
Season 3, Episode 8, "Twelve Days Of Krampus"
In season 3, episode 8, "Twelve Days of Krampus", the titular folkloric beast is causing havoc in Portland in the lead-up to Christmas and while the identity of the attacker remains a mystery for the first part of the episode, it's eventually revealed to be Krampus, the dark version of Santa Claus who captures and enslaves naughty children, if not outright kills them. At first, it's unclear if the Krampus is some form of Wesen or something else, but it's eventually revealed to be a Wesen who can't control his transformations.

Toward the end of the episode, Nick finds where Krampus is bringing the captured teens, but before he can free them, he's attacked by the Wesen, who strikes him with his large switch. Nick manages to olé the charging creature and nearly rescues the teens before he is lifted by the neck off the ground. Thanks to his Post-Traumatic Zombification Disorder, however, Nick cheats death and manages to knock out the unsuspecting Krampus with a punch. It's a festive and scary fight to cap off a unique episode.
4 Nick Vs. Andre (Jinnamuru Xunte)
Season 2, Episode 15, "Mr. Sandman"
Season 2, episode 15, "Mr. "Sandman", features a Wesen named Andre (Kieren Hutchison), a Jinnamuru Xunte, which is a particularly frightening Wesen with a fly-like visage complete with spiked hairs and bulging eyes. They can also spray a type of parasite that will blind the victim unless treated with an ointment made from the Jinnamuru Xunte's own eye. After being blinded by Andre, Nick is still is able to track him to Casey's attic, and fights the Wesen despite being unable to see.
As a Grimm, the blinding parasite has the unintended side effect of increasing Nick's hearing, which Nick uses to block most of Andre's attacks. As agile as Andre is, Nick avoids all his attacks and eventually knocks him out cold with a grappling headlock. It's a particularly high-stakes fight because Nick is running out of time with the parasite in his eye; if he's unable to defeat Andre, the parasite will kill him. This fight shows how well Nick can adapt to any situation. Even without his eyes, he's a match for most Wesen.
3 Nick Vs. Sean Renard (Half-Zauberbiest)
Season 6, Episode 3, "Oh Captain, My Captain"
"Oh Captain, My Captain" is the third episode of Grimm season 6, and sees Nick taking on his longtime frenemy, Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Nick has decided he needs to stop Renard from becoming mayor of Portland and transforms himself into a copy of Renard. Impersonating the police captain, Nick announces his (Renard's) resignation as mayor, and on the roof of Nick's loft, the two have a showdown. They toss away their guns, deciding to punch out their differences. The real Renard strikes first, but Nick says he was just giving Renard a free shot.
It's a fight between two people who won't it they may actually be friends, and there's a lot of history in each punch.
The pair both woge, and Renard finds a pipe and begins swinging, but Nick tackles him, and they roll off the roof. Exhausted and realizing they're equally matched, the pair decide to stop fighting and come to a tentative agreement. While the fight choreography in the episode is great, it's the relationship between Renard and Nick that makes this fight so great. It's a fight between two people who won't it they may actually be friends, and there's a lot of history in each punch.
2 Nick Vs. An Unnamed Reaper (Hässlich) and Junkers (Hässlich)
Season 1, Episode 19, "Leave It To Beavers"
The Reapers in Grimm are a powerful gang of Wesen bounty hunters who are dedicated to exterminating all Grimms, which eventually leads them to hunting down Nick in season 1, episode 19, "Leave It to Beavers". An unnamed Reaper (Henri Lubatti) and Junkers (Chino Binamo) track Nick to a factory outside the Lodge, where they go 2 vs.1 against Nick. The Reaper swings around a scythe, but Nick nimbly avoids it, finally grabbing hold of his Kanabo to even the odds.
Most Reapers are Hässlich, which are troll-like Wesen who are naturally interested in bridges, a reference to the folk tale.
At one point, Nick ducks a scythe swing, and the Reaper chops off Junker's head. The Reaper roars angrily, giving Nick enough time to grab his Doppelarmbrust crossbow and shoot the Reaper in the neck. The odds are stacked against Nick in this fight, which goes to show just how talented he is. He uses two different weapons and his environment to get out alive, and it's an all-around impressive display of athleticism and tenacity.
1 Nick And Kelly Vs. Marnassier (Mauvais Dentes)
Season 2, Episode 2, "The Kiss"
In "The Kiss", the second episode of season 2, Nick and Kelly Burkhardt (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) have been tracking down a Mauvais Dentes Wesen named Marnassier (Mike Dopud), who originally came to Portland in the season 2 premiere, "Bad Teeth", to hunt down Nick. Mauvais Dentes are Wesen with saber-tooth cat-like features, fangs included, making them particularly deadly. Nick and Kelly finally catch up to Marnassier in a warehouse and have an exciting knock-down, drag-out fight.
Nick and Marnassier trade punches and kicks, eventually finding themselves on the catwalk high above the warehouse floor. Nick swings a piece of lumber but is knocked off balance. Marnassier nearly has him, but Kelly finally catches up, and together the Grimms lay a beating on the Wesen. Kelly puts a knife to his throat, threatening to kill him unless he talks. Marnassier breaks free but is stabbed in the neck. He walks to the edge of the catwalk and falls to the ground dead. It's the most well-choreographed and exciting fight between Nick and a monster in Grimm.
