That's particularly true since the latest adventure comes on the heels of a new brood of evil Mogwai, with the heroic trio having to venture into the American West and face off against supernatural creatures and other new faces.

The voice cast for the Gremlins animated prequel includes Raya and the Last Dragon's Izaac Wang as the voice of Sam, The Mandalorian's Ming-Na Wen, meanwhile, voices Sam's mother Fong, and Jurassic Park's BD Wong as Sam's father Hon. James Hong voices as Grandpa, a free-spirited elder who knows the power and secrets of the Mogwai. The characters of Elle and Gizmo are voiced by Gabrielle Nevaeh and A.J. LoCascio, respectively. The installment will also feature a notable guest cast, which will be announced at a later date.

Boasting a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with an overall score of 8.15/10, based on 20 reviews, the first season of the animated prequel was met with a warm reception and was quietly one of the best 2023 shows.
