This mini-series is particularly significant, marking the long-awaited reunion of the Gotham City Sirens as they face off against Alexis “Punchline” Kaye, the Joker’s handpicked successor to Harley. But what truly stands out in this issue is the unexpected addition of another notorious rogue to their ranks—Jaina “White Rabbit” Hudson—signaling a new and intriguing twist for the team.

White Rabbit s the Gotham City Sirens as Their Newest Member (Well... At Least Half of Her Does)

Gotham City Sirens #2 White Rabbit Harley Quinn Poison Ivy Catwoman

Jaina “White Rabbit” Hudson, a character introduced in Batman: The Dark Knight Vol 2 #1 (November 2011) by David Finch and Paul Jenkins, is a Gotham City socialite with the unique ability of Bio-Fission. This power allows her to split into two distinct entities: her original self, Jaina, and a second persona known as White Rabbit. When this transformation occurs, White Rabbit undergoes physical changes, including a lighter complexion and white hair. Once separated, Jaina and White Rabbit become fully independent individuals, each with their own distinct personality and perspective.

In Leah Williams' Gotham City Sirens mini-series, Jaina and her White Rabbit persona are separated after Punchline captures her White Rabbit half. Determined to reunite with her other half, Jaina teams up with the Gotham City Sirens to take down Punchline. While Jaina appeared in the first issue, it’s in issue #2 that she starts to feel like "one of the girls," as she works alongside Poison Ivy, Harley, and Catwoman in Ivy's lab to plan their attack on Punchline and her illegal operations. Although Jaina hasn't been officially declared a Gotham City Siren, she’s certainly beginning to feel like one.

Jaina “White Rabbit” Hudson Is the Perfect Character to Revitalize the Gotham City Sirens

The future of White Rabbit as a permanent Gotham City Siren remains uncertain, especially with Williams' series spanning just four issues. However, her addition could inject new energy into the group and potentially elevate Jaina to the ranks of an A-list female villain, a status only achieved by Selina, Ivy, and Harley. As an established Gotham Rogue with recent appearances in ongoing storylines like Joshua Williamson’s Batman and Robin, White Rabbit’s inclusion feels both natural and fitting. Solidifying her place within the Gotham City Sirens would enhance the team dynamic and also reinvigorate the group as a whole.
