Game of Thrones has some of the most interesting characters on television thanks to George RR. Martin and his endless imagination. Whether it's House Stark, House Lannister, or House Targaryen, every family possesses both good and evil traits. The Targaryen's have a bad reputation of being "mad" thanks to their bloodline which derives from incest due to the family's desire to keep their magical blood intact for generations.
Daenerys' mission throughout the series is to prove that she's nothing like her father and that there are decent Targaryen's. While some people in this house are good, others are malicious. With that being said, which Hogwarts house would the House of Targaryen and their loyal allies be a part of?
THE MAD KING - SLYTHERIN
The Mad King makes The Red Queen from Alice and Wonderland seem tame! Why is he "mad" exactly? Dany's father is no saint, and he is most likely crazy due to all of the intermarriage that has been going on for generations in the Targaryen bloodline. He hears voices in his head that tell him to kill all those who might be plotting against him. He has no mercy, and he basically burns everyone to the ground thanks to these voices. His lack of predictability is frightening, and he has killed thousands. The Mad King, due to his track record, seems best fit for the house of Slytherin.
DAENERYS TARGARYEN - GRYFFINDOR
Daenerys Targaryen is as powerful and brave as her fire-breathing companions. Being the Mother of Dragons is no easy task and people are constantly trying to tear Queen Dany down in an effort to remove her power. Yet Danerys will stop at nothing until she takes the iron throne in order to break the wheel.
While she may end up going mad in the end due to her bloodline, she tries with all her best efforts to be a good person who acts selflessly to help those around her who need it most. Her goal throughout the series is to prove that she's nothing like her father, yet during her journey to take the throne she becomes power-hungry and it begins to cloud her judgment.
JON SNOW - HUFFLEPUFF
Jon Snow is a certified sweetheart who doesn't need power or wealth in order to be satisfied. He is an entirely selfless person who simply wants to protect the realm. Despite the fact that he is a Targaryen rather than a bastard and he is the true heir to the iron throne, he doesn't want to be king because he knows how much Daenerys wants it. He puts others first before his own needs and his loyalty makes him a true Hufflepuff.
VISERYS TARGARYEN - SLYTHERIN
Viserys Targaryen is a monstrous human who is bloodthirsty for power and he will show no mercy until he gets what he wants. He treats Daenerys like an object to be used in order to get more status in the realm. He says he would let thousands of Dothraki men and their horses have their way with her if it meant he would get to take the iron throne. The fact that he was willing to risk his family's life in order to claim power makes him seem like the worst kind of Slytherin.
MISSANDEI - RAVENCLAW
Missandei from Game of Thrones is a brilliant character who can speak fluently in nineteen different languages. Yet somehow, she is able to remain modest about her intelligence, and this is what makes her so captivating to us viewers.
She loves to spread her wisdom and knowledge with the people around her, including Grey worm who she teaches to speak Westerosi. She has a good head on her shoulders and she's one of Daenerys' most faithful ers as well as a true friend. She is a total Ravenclaw.
GREY WORM - HUFFLEPUFF
Grey Worm is probably the most loyal character on the entire series. He will gladly risk his own life in order to protect his one true leader, Daenerys Targaryen Stormborn, the unburnt mother of dragons. He is as faithful as they come, and in the end, he spends the remainder of his days after the war trying to honor Missandrei's memory. He lives for other people, especially those faithful to Daenerys. This makes him seem like the best kind of Hufflepuff.
KHAL DROGO - GRYFFINDOR
Khal Drogo is without hesitation a member of the Gryffindor house. He is your typical Gryffindor jock, and he would most certainly be the captain of the quidditch team if he ever did go to Hogwarts. Khal is known for his heroism and his ability to fight the good fight in order to protect his people and bring honor to their name. He lives to protect his Khaleesi and he has more courage than most. He is a classic example of a Gryffindor.
SER JORAH MORMONT - HUFFLEPUFF
Tyrion claims that he has never witnessed anyone as loyal as Ser Jorah Mormont. Ser Jorah says early on in the series that he would gladly die for his queen, and he ends up doing just that. He doesn't hesitate. He lives to serve Daenerys Stormborn and he is the sole person who is always there to remind the Queen that she has a good heart. In fact, many people believe that when he dies, her heart dies with him.
Since he was always there to offer her moral guidance, people believe she wouldn't have gone mad if he had remained alive. His story was perhaps the most tragic on the show, and his endless loyalty makes him a true Hufflepuff.
TYRION LANNISTER - RAVENCLAW
Tyrion is most definitely a member of Rowena Ravenclaw's house. What he lacks in sword-fighting skills, he makes up for with his brain. Tyrion is a brilliant thinker who is able to outsmart anyone he stumbles across and this quality makes him incredibly charismatic.
He is without a doubt the most lovable Lannister because not only does he have a massive brain, he also has a heart of gold. He is a genuinely good person who will do anything for the people he loves, even if they've turned their backs on him time and time again. At least this is the case on the HBO series. In the books... not so much.
RHAEGAR TARGARYEN - GRYFFINDOR
Rhaegar Targaryen is someone who got a bad reputation due to false information. He was accused of raping Lyanna Stark but the truth was, they were both very much in love. They even created Jon Snow together! Daenerys had been told that Rhaegar was a violent man who loved killing, but she found out he was a peaceful individual who hated fighting and preferred singing. He did what he had to do, and he died a good man. All in all, his benevolence and bravery lead us to believe he is a Gryffindor.
