While hit points are determined by four Underpants in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, two sets of Golden Underpants are available for players to find in multiple levels, increasing overall health if collected throughout the main adventure. These two items are the only opportunities for players to bolster their hit points to six, so players are encouraged to grab the Golden Underpants as soon as possible.
Hidden on two separate levels, players must complete a series of careful platforming in order to grab these collectibles and be better prepared for obstacles seen later in their journey. The two sets of Golden Underpants are located during the Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom and Medieval Sulfur Fields, two vastly different levels that players encounter. The first may be found right at the beginning of the Paparazzi Street segment, seen easily on a platform high above the player.
Finding the Second Golden Underpants in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake
As seen by content creator gameplay of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake should revolve around players getting to the top of that structure by using their bubble wand to create an inflated platform, then using their karate kick on the balloon after gliding for a bit to reach the upgrade.
Although the first upgrade is relatively simple to find, the second Golden Underpants seen in the Castle Courtyard of the Medevial Sulfur Fields lies behind a seemingly impenetrable wall. Moving up the battlements leads players toward a seesaw platform, and eventually a section with spike traps that need to be avoided. Players should be able to see an area of the castle beyond this point with a collection of tiki boxes floating below on a small space below the wall, an area that players must reach to receive the final Golden Underpants.
At this point, players might have enough skills from the SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake to carefully drop themselves down onto the narrow ledge where the tiki boxes reside. With enough careful positioning of both themselves and their camera, players that are patient enough will have no problems reaching the boxes, which must be destroyed to reveal a path forward.
Leading into a blacksmith's shop, the final pair of Golden Underpants players get in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake sits in the middle of the room, permanently leveling up the porous hero's hit points for the rest of the game.
