Multiple MonsterVerse Titans have the potential to serve as opponents to Godzilla in his MonsterVerse show. The King of the Monsters is currently on track to make a jump to the small screen via a new series from Apple TV+. The untitled MonsterVerse installment is expected to explore the aftermath of Godzilla's victory over the MUTOs in San Francisco.

This detail about the story reveals key information about where the show fits into the MonsterVerse timeline. Clearly, it'll take place sometime between Godzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The movie taking place before Ghidorah's awakening creates a blueprint for what the show can do in of its villains, as the number of known Titans was limited before King of the Monsters. However, the MonsterVerse still has plenty of Titans who might have secretly challenged Godzilla. Here's every monster who could come to blows with him in the show.

12 Scylla

Scylla stands over a destroyed city in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Years before bowing down to Godzilla in King of the Monsters' ending, one of the four original Titans featured in the movie could have clashed with Godzilla. Since she was willing to fight him in Godzilla vs. Kong graphic novel prequel Godzilla: Dominion, it's not impossible that Scylla opposed him a few years prior to that as well. Losing could have led to Scylla burrowing underground and hiding beneath the oil fields seen in King of the Monsters.

11 Baphomet

Godzilla King of the Monsters Baphomet

Scylla, Methuselah, Behemoth, and the third MUTO aren't the only monsters who emerged from the Earth as a result of Ghidorah's call. A monitor screen in King of the Monsters confirmed that Monarch had outposts set up at 11 other sites, each of which being a place where a Titan was held. The facility in Morocco was keeping watch on a Titan known as Baphomet. In the 14th century, of the Knights Templar worshiped an idol head of the same name. However, this offers no clue as to what Baphomet truly is. Godzilla's show could answer this mystery by pitting the two against each other.

10 Abaddon

Abaddon Angel

Not unlike the situation with Baphomet, it's hard to predict the identity of Abaddon, the Titan found in Wyoming. But since his name connects him to a Biblical figure described as the "Angel of Death" and "the Destroyer," there's good reason to suspect that the MonsterVerse's Abaddon is anything but a benevolent monster. If Monarch gave him this designation because of his destructive potential, he could be a fitting foe for Godzilla in Apple TV+'s show.

9 Bunyip

King of the Monsters' monitor screen confirmed the existence of Bunyip, a Titan based at Ayer's Rock in Australia. Said to be a long-necked creature that shares the physical characteristics of several animals, Bunyip is a swamp-dwelling monster from Australian Aboriginal mythology. If he briefly awoke from hibernation before King of the Monsters, he could be an option for one of the new show's Titan villains.

8 Leviathan

Two massive creatures mentioned in the Bible - Behemoth and Leviathan - have counterparts in the MonsterVerse. The former appeared in the flesh in King of the Monsters, whereas as Leviathan was established in the movie's novelization as the inspiration for the famous Loch Ness Monster sightings in Scotland. Since the MonsterVerse's Behemoth is a peaceful Titan, it's not likely that he'll fight Godzilla, but Leviathan could be a different story altogether.

7 Rodan

Godzilla 2 King of the Monsters Rodan

It's generally understood that Rodan observing his surroundings atop the volcano in King of the Monsters was his first time being awake in centuries, but Legendary could prove otherwise by giving the King of the Skies a role in Godzilla's show. It could be that he actually woke up when Monarch first discovered him, which happened at an undisclosed time in the MonsterVerse timeline. If it happened after the 2014 movie, the series could shine the spotlight on a tussle between Godzilla and Rodan.

6 Quetzalcoatl

Quetzalcoatl

In Aztec mythology, Quetzalcoatl has a reputation as a feathered serpent deity. Due to the King of the Monsters introducing 11 unseen Titans, the god now shares its name with a creature from the MonsterVerse. If its name is a clue about its design, it's possible that the MonsterVerse's Quetzalcoatl is a Warbat, like the two monsters Kong fought in Godzilla vs. Kong.

5 Mokele-Mbembe

When Ghidorah was waking up the Titans, a monitor briefly showed a creature called Mokele-Mbembe breaking out of a captivity at the Monarch outpost in Sudan. There was too to much smoke to make out any distinguishing characteristics, but what he looks like is no secret. According to the novelization, Mokele-Memembe is a monstrous, mutli-tailed, elephant monster with the snout of an alligator. Based on this description, the Titan has what it takes to be a fearsome adversary of Godzilla.

4 Yamata no Orochi

Yamata no Orochi Japanese mythology

King Ghidorah may not be the only multi-headed dragon in the MonsterVerse. In ancient Japanese folklore, Yamata no Orochi is an eight-headed dragon. Since Monarch labeled a particular Titan in Japan "Yamata no Orochi" in King of the Monsters, it too may be a creature with multiple heads. If he's anywhere close to Ghidorah's power level, he could be a force to be reckoned with in Godzilla's world.

3 Tiamat

Tiamat in Godzilla Dominion

Godzilla: Dominion revealed that another of King of the Monsters' missing Titans, Tiamat, is a sea serpent powerful enough to pose a threat to Godzilla. Though she ultimately lost, she had a surprising amount of success in their fight, particularly in the water. If Godzilla's show were to bring Tiamat out of hibernation, the two could engage in an exciting underwater battle.
