Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #6 – written by Benjamin Percy, with art by Danny Kim – is the final issue of this saga of Johnny Blaze’s hellish existence. After deciding that Blaze was no longer a useful Rider, Mephisto had his Spirit of Vengeance, the treacherous demon Zarathos, stripped from Blaze and planted into a man with enough hate to feed the demon forever.

However, the smoldering Ghost Rider is about to catch up to his villainous successor and deal out harsh vengeance, while ditching his chains and shotgun for something with a few more teeth.

With Final Vengeance concluding, this upgrade encapsulates the final burst of escalation the series is set to offer. For readers, it is ridiculous, it is camp, it is perfect.

As depicted in the preview for Final Vengeance #6, when facing off against Looking like a flaming-skulled Ash Williams, Johnny and his graphically dangerous new weapon are going to be far more brutal than he’s ever been before.

With Final Vengeance concluding, this upgrade encapsulates the final burst of escalation the series is set to offer. For readers, it is ridiculous, it is camp, it is perfect. Yes, it doesn’t make complete sense as to why Blaze would abandon his traditional long-reach weapon to take on an enemy that prefers using guns. However, if Johnny tragically loses an arm in the course of the fight during Final Vengeance #6, he would need something less dependent on both hands. It looks like the preview may have finally hinted at the torturous moment Johnny Blaze's appendage is ripped from him.

In one way or another, Johnny Blaze’s tumultuous journey to reclaim his Spirit of Vengeance and take back his title as the Ghost Rider will soon be over.

The Hood, aka the new Ghost Rider, unleashes a fury of hellfire bullets against his enemies.

On the final page of the preview, the Hood releases multiple tendrils made of the classic hell-chains that pierce and shred through Blaze’s flash. It is horrifically brutal; chains burst through Johnny’s mouth, hands, and legs in an agonizing display of blood and flames. It’s clear that the Hood isn’t going down without a fight, but reclaim his Spirit of Vengeance and take back his title as the Ghost Rider will soon be over.

Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #6 will be available August 21, 2024 from Marvel Comics.
